Wud up guys?
Hi Ohm, do you see Diehl slotting back in at RT when he returns?Seems to me they've been doing fine without him.Thanks.
Mac, yes, I can see Diehl moving back into his role of RT when he returns unless the Giants somehow are able to run effectively on SF this weekend. Initially, perhaps, they could bring Diehl back as the extra blocker as they work his way back in. But if the ground game is humming, then perhaps they could bring him in as extra blocker. But most of the time, starters do not tend to lose job to injury. They did the same with Shaun O'Hara a few years ago when he was out and Seubert did a good job at center but when O'Hara came back, he started.
Hugeeeee Nicks fan, but I am starting to get concerned he is constantly getting injured. Is this something to be concerned about? Will this hurt his future staying with the Giants long term?
Nedim, Hakeem gets banged up every year. But he is a playmaker. And when healthy, he is great. I think the Giants will still try to lock him up. I just think with Hakeem, you have to deal with the fact that he will deal with injuries from time to time.
This a huge game for us coming up. How do you think our run defense will do against Frank Gore and the rest of the 49ers run game?
I think the Giants need to show that they can stop the run for an entire game, not just a half. I think they can do a better job against the run then Vernon Davis, though. That is the guy that concerns me the most if I am the Giants.
Did the play of Andre Brown light a fire under Amhad Bradshaw?
Perhaps a little. But I think Ahmad has always tried to run as hard as he did that day vs Cleveland. Just happened that offensive line had it going and everything was clicking. I don't think he runs any less harder than he normally does.
Ohm, after watching the giants the first 5 weeks, it seems to me like, yes, they can dominate terrible teams, but they can't hang with mediocre ones (dallas and philly). What realistic chance do they have this season, and will that change with a healthy Bernard and Canty back in the middle?
John, realistic chance of what? Winning it all? Look, this is the Giants... it's the same story just about every year. They are very up and down and then when they have to turn it on, they most of the time do. It is just a matter of if it is too late or not. I had them pegged for 10 wins when the schedule came out. So far it looks about on pace for that. They usually hit their stride late in the year but their schedule is really tough. They do need to get healthier. But this is what you get with the Giants. You know this John. LOL.
Hey, Ohm. Which person's (other than Eli) performance is most critical to winning sunday?
Craig, hmm... I'm going to say the defensive line really. They got to stop the run and get pressure on Alex Smith. It's just not really one other person. Offensive line must be able to protect Manning as well. A lot has to go right.
Is Nicks practicing today?
He was on the field doing some work. We will find out officially later today if he practice or was limited.
Is Ramses Barden officially in the Coughlin doghouse?
No. He is just returning from a concussion.
Has Prince all of a sudden figured it out, or have opposing teams stopped going to his side and instead try to pick on the LBs (screen passes) and Webster (broken hand)?
Well I don't think either really. I think Prince has played well and physical. I think Webster has struggled a bit due to the injury and he faces the best receiver. So he is going to see some balls come his way. But take nothing away from Prince, he has been solid.
Alright guys, practice is about to end soon. Thanks for the questions!!!! Hit me up on Twitter if you have more questions. @NotoriousOHM Have a great weekend!
