Ohm
  (1:00 PM)

Hey guys, what's cracking?

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Were you surprised that the Giants made the San Francisco 49ers look very Bad on October 14?

Ohm
  (1:01 PM)

Chris, yes, I was. I am not surprised one bit that they won. But I was surprised at how much they dominated. But I would like to see them sustain that momentum and not give it right back by losing to the Redskins. If they want to be an elite team, they got to handle their business in the division and not winning a big game and then losing to a team they should beat at home.

Danny (New York)

Eli is the best qb in the NFL right now, agree?

Ohm
  (1:03 PM)

Danny, I'll just say Eli is in the conversation for sure. But I think I still got Rodgers slightly ahead of him when both guys are on top of their game as far as who is the best QB taking into consideration talent, passing and everything else. But Eli, he is right there. He is really, really good.

Wayne (Morgantown)

What up with Bradchaw latley and do you think he can run off some more 100 yard games this year?

Ohm
  (1:04 PM)

Wayne, as long as Ahmad can stay healthy, and the line keeps blocking the way it is, a few more this year for sure. But staying healthy could be an issue.

LL (MI)

Omie, I would mess with you about this so call team from Least Lansing, but I was taught never kick a guy and their team when they're down!!!Losers!!!!!

Ohm
  (1:05 PM)

The streak may end this Saturday and I wouldn't be surprised if it does. But if it doesn't, you guys best not show up next Thursday in the chat. Because you will never hear the end of it.

Ohm
  (1:05 PM)

LOL!

Deuce (NY)

Hello Mr. Ohms, quick questions on the skins, have you notice the way Kirk Cousins have been acting on the sidelines whenever the skins score ?It kooks as if he doesn't want to be there!!Have you notice this?Watch the tape on RG III td and watch him on the sideline.Thoughts?

Ohm
  (1:06 PM)

Deuce, I did see that. And I was a little surprised. I am not going to assume anything based on body language and what not. But Kirk Cousins is all about the team. So I don't really know what was going on there. But I did noticed it and saw it and was a little surprised.

Pete (MI)

Sparty sucks!

Ohm
  (1:07 PM)

I've told all my friends who went to the other school in Michigan that this is the year MSU's streak ends vs Michigan. But if Michigan loses to this awful MSU offense, wow...

Kyle (NYC)

When Reese and the boys decide who gets the big $$$ contracts and Hakeen and Vicotr's names come up, do they both get big ones or will only one get the $$$$$. Hakeem reminds me of Andre Johnson ablility yet misses a bunch of time...........if it boils down to one I see Victor both are great both he is there all the time.......????

Ohm
  (1:08 PM)

I understand the frustration from fans with Hakeem's health. But I think if you are the Giants you try everything to keep both. You can't let a playmaker like Hakeem at his age get away. Unless he has something seriously wrong health wise and I don't think that is the case. He is just banged up a lot from time to time.

Shakoor (Newark NJ)

Wassuo Ohm. How long will JWill be out and What happened to DScott

Ohm
  (1:09 PM)

Shakoor, wud up man. Sounds like at least one week for Jacquian. As for Da'Rel, debridement procedure in his knee to repair meniscus. Wouldn't be surprised if he is the guy who they do something with to make room for Canty.

John Cranbury, NJ [via mobile]

Ohm, sorry for the absence the past 2 weeks. I'm curious of KP's status, for this season and the future. Should we expect him back for the game against the cowgirls? And with the emergence of Stevie brown and also having will hill and sash under contract, what's the chance this is Kenny's final year in Blue?

Ohm
  (1:11 PM)

No need to apologize JC. All good. Good question. Not sure. I would think maybe another week or so. Diehl needed like three weeks to come back from similar injury. As for Kenny's final year, I think that all depends on how much he is looking for and how much Giants offer. I think Giants will have a price in mind and if KP moves on, they'll plug next guy in. But I do think they would like to keep him at a right price.

Martin (New York, NY)

Cruz has been showing us that he was no fluke last season. The guy is straight out dominating week after week (which is even more impressive considering that Nicks has been banged up). Considering all of this, when are we going to lock him up. Dude is going to get paid this offseason, right?

Ohm
  (1:11 PM)

Martin, I would hope so and he certainly deserves to be. I would think if not at some point this season, then before next year.

Martin (NYC)

What is the vibe around the team this week?

Ohm
  (1:12 PM)

Pretty confident so far. But they also know RG3 is no joke. I think they are looking forward to playing him.

Drom John (Macon, GA)

How much better is Tim than Eli? That's Giant Lincecum or Giant Manning.

Ohm
  (1:12 PM)

Like Lincecum. But I'll go with Eli.

Michael C. (Westport, CT)

Do you think Jerry Reese is the best GM in the NFL? It's amazing how these unknown players seem to keep showing up on Sundays and playing not okay, but really well. Do you ever talk to him one-on-one?

Ohm
  (1:13 PM)

Yes, I think he is right up there with the best of them. And I think fans don't give him enough credit. I do talk to him from time to time. Really nice guy. Sharp dresser too.

Joe S. (NYC)

What is the one position you think the Giants need the most improvement?

Ohm
  (1:14 PM)

For this year or next year? I'll go with next year in mind: I think they need to add another cornerback and potentially add another offensive lineman for the future.

Benny (Bronx)

What's it like covering games on the road? Do you fly with the team? Stay at the same hotel?

Ohm
  (1:15 PM)

Hey Benny. Covering games on the road is cool. But I like to travel. Some writers do not. We do not fly with the team. We fly on on our own. And I do not stay at the team hotel. Most writers don't do that. We stay where we want to stay usually closer to stadium or in the city of where we are at.

Rasheed (Jamaica-Queens)

I admit, RG3 has been a lot better than I thought! He's a more accurate passer than Vick - just as fast - and it looks like the Skins changed their offense for him. The Giants lost to "RG3&OUT" (Rex Grossman III) twice last year and the Skins are better now at RB

Ohm
  (1:16 PM)

Rasheed, this is all true. But got to think Giants are a better team now than the ones that played the Redskins in both of those games. But this is all true.

Brock (Washington, DC)

RG3 has made a few big plays this year - and getting all the hype, but as usual Eli is playing steady and I think he will destroy the Skins horrible secondary this week. Who's gets burned more: Skins CB DeAngelo Hall or Spartan CB Johnny Adams? Can Sparty beat Michigan for a 5th time in a row?

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

Don't get me started on Johnny Adams. I love my Spartans but he frustrates me every week. I think Michigan St will have serious problems trying to stop Michigan's spread and I don't think MSU's offense will be able to score enough points. I hope I am wrong.

Frank (NY, NY)

In your opinion, what will the Giants' record be at the end of the season and do they make the playoffs?

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

Frank, as my friends who come to this chat often will tell you, I predicted 10 wins when the schedule came out and I am sticking to that prediction. And I think they make the playoffs.

matt sullivan (New jersey )

will the giants activate canty by the end of the week?

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

Matt, I think the team wants to see how he is feeling after these two practices. He is out there today. If all goes well, my guess is they will but still bring him along slowly perhaps with a snap count.

nate (va)

with chris canty back OHM, how does that open everything else up for the DE's?

Ohm
  (1:19 PM)

You got a 6-7 space eater inside who will help stop the run, take on double teams and hopefully make life easier for JPP, Tuck and Osi.

skooler (nyc)

now that Andre Brown is back in the fold, will TC/Killdrive give him more snaps than he received in the Eagles game?

Ohm
  (1:19 PM)

Skooler, I am as curious as you are to see how it goes. My guess... if they run the ball 20-25 times, I think Ahmad gets 3/4 of the carries.

David Futernick (los angeles, ca)

This team loves to beat elite teams and then lose to inferior ones. That seems to be their M.O. every year (i.e. losing to the Skins twice last year). Would you agree that the way to beat this much improved Skins team this year is to control the ball and keep it out of RGIII's hands?

Ohm
  (1:21 PM)

They've been pretty good in the time of possession department. They got to stop the run, make RG3 beat them through the air and they got to score vs Redskins defense, make sure not to settle for field goals. Redskins can score points. And also make sure to stay disciplined entire game. Not just shut down RG3 for a half or so and then let him break loose and get hot like what happened in Philly.

Michael (Manhattan)

Ohm, even with Andre Brown cleared to play again, any chance David Wilson will get more carries on account of his strong showing on special teams?

Ohm
  (1:21 PM)

Michael, I am very curious to see how they split the carries. But my guess for now is Brown gets the backup carries. But we'll see. Gilbride talks to us later today.

JD (PA)

What's the situation with Bradshaw's contract? Any chance he is cut next season because of the lingering injuries? Seems like the Giants could use that money to lock up JPP and Nicks, no?

Ohm
  (1:22 PM)

Hard to guess what a team will do with a player. Ahmad signed a four year deal before last season. But teams can always cut players.

nate (va)

Hey Ohm, with bradshaw hurting a little bit, are we gonna see David Wilson get 15 touches this week?

Ohm
  (1:22 PM)

I don't see that at all with Brown back.

Bob (WWCC)

who is going to win the chase for the cup

Ohm
  (1:23 PM)

Bob, my knowledge of sports doesn't extend that far. LOL!

nate (rochester, ny)

With Canty back, will we see the return of the best pass rush in the league? I think they missed him more than people realize.

Ohm
  (1:24 PM)

I would think it can only help. Got to have patience though. May take him a bit to get up to speed. He hasn't played since SB.

Bob (IN)

Will the Giants beat the snot out of the Redskins?

Ohm
  (1:25 PM)

I'd be surprised if it was a rout. But the Giants surprised me last week. So...

Ben F. (the great state of new jersey )

I bet you david wilson takes one to the house this week on a KR

Ohm
  (1:25 PM)

Ben, come back next week and I will give you props if this is the week.

SOS (NYC)

Thoughts on the Giants draft picks so far? Wilson definitely is screaming with potential, while hosley and randle seem like solid contributors down the road.

Ohm
  (1:26 PM)

I like the draft picks a lot this year. Think they will be contributors down the road.

Ohm
  (1:26 PM)

Alright guys, practice just opened up. Gotta run. Thanks for the questions! I may try to answer the ones I didn't get to in a mailbag on the blog this weekend!
