Fantasy NFL with Chris Harris

Christopher Harris
  (11:00 AM)

Hi, everyone. Thanks for coming. Remember, if you have a single-position question, my answer is here: http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/football/ffl/story?page=12ranksWeek8QB. Follow me on Twitter: @CHarrisESPN. And check out my novel about football (I'm pretty sure you like football), here: www.slotbackrhapsody.com. Let's get to your questions.......

joe (last place)

dude, im in last place and have had greg jennings sitting on my bench the whole year. would trading him for a replacement of his like randall cobb be a fair deal considering i need to win the next few weeks to make the playoffs and its looking like his injury is worse than what is being reported?

Christopher Harris
  (11:01 AM)

Hi, Joe. Sorry for your team's struggles. I honestly do think that's a fair deal. Cobb looks terrific, and we really don't know what the deal is with Jennings. (One report today speculated it might be a sports hernia.) If Jennings gets back to full strength, of course, Cobb's value sinks some. But at this point that's looking like quite an if.

Tim (AZ)

Love the Fantasy Underground! Listening to the end of it now :-). In a 0.5 PPR 10tm league, I just snagged Rashad Jennings. I'm trying to decide on my 2nd RB and Flex. Which 2 would you play out of Jennings, Mikel Leshoure (tempting me with his 5.2 Yd/carry against Chicago) or Malcom Floyd against a poor Cleveland Browns D.

Christopher Harris
  (11:03 AM)

Hi, Tim. Thanks. Yeah, forgot to mention: Y'all should listen to the Fantasy Underground podcast. It's done quite well -- it's a studious look at the issues of the day...we talk a ton about what we see on film. Find it at iTunes or espn.com/podcenter. I'd probably play both the RBs in this case.....

Shawn (Keene, NH)

Hi Chris, I I'm thinking about trading either Darren McFadden or Doug Martin for a wide receiver. I have Charles and McCoy as my RBs, but only Jordy Nelson and Brandon Lloyd at receiver. So, which RB would you trade, Run DMC or the Muscle Hampster, and who should I look to target? Thanks so much for the advice!

Christopher Harris
  (11:04 AM)

Hi, Shawn. It's a tough time to trade McFadden right now...because you're not going to get fair value for him. Listen to what I say about him on this week's Fantasy Underground podcast -- he's our leadoff topic. It's pretty much impossible for me to tell you specifically who to target, since I don't know who is on whose team...but for either of those RBs, I'd be hopefully getting a top-10 WR.....

Ferris (Day Off)

NFL rumors (cant read them) was saying Ogletree got benched during the game last Sunday. Is this true? Does he still have to much potential to drop if i need a kicker, or is it time?

Christopher Harris
  (11:05 AM)

I think Ogletree was barely ever addable, and I definitely think he's droppable now. He really only had the one game.....

Ryan (Philly)

Good Morning Chris. DMC or Morris ROS?

Christopher Harris
  (11:06 AM)

Hi, Ryan. Shockingly, it has to be Morris. I mean, we know who the better player is. There's no question it's DMC. But his line isn't playing well. Listen to the podcast. I'm not ruling out a return to form. But it doesn't seem that close.

James (A Giant Peach)

How far do you think Cobb's value can sink this year and what do you think his outlook is for next year? I see another Percy Harvin type in the making with more downfield ability. I've been considering trading for him in a keeper league (is Dez too much to give?)

Christopher Harris
  (11:08 AM)

Hi, James. If Jennings moves on from Green Bay (he's a free agent), Cobb and James Jones likely solidify their gains from this year, and frankly entering the final year of his deal, Jones would be cuttable if the team wanted to go that way. But of course, Jennings isn't doing himself any favors with missing all this time, so he may return on a shorter, cheaper deal with the Pack to re-establish some value this winter. Cobb is definitely a slot receiver...but that's a locus of good fantasy value. Would I trade Dez for him? I probably wouldn't in a dynasty league, because we know *if* Dez ever figures it out, yadda yadda. But if you're just *done* with him, I guess I understand that.

Bobby B (Foosball - is for the devil)

Do you think J-Mail gives us some consistency the next few weeks with a terrible QB and terrible Defense or trade him high?

Christopher Harris
  (11:10 AM)

Hi, Bobby. I think Jamaal Charles is, as you imply, in a tough spot...defenses are going to key on him like there's no tomorrow, and as a result he may have a couple games where he gets shut down. But boy, I'd have a hard time dealing him, unless someone wants to give me, I dunno, Ray Rice for him or whatever. Because J-Mail probably will also have a few weeks where no matter what the D does, he just wrecks the game by being uncatchable. But I do expect up-and-down.

Nick (MI)

Simple question What do I do with Megatron?

Christopher Harris
  (11:10 AM)

Hi, Nick. Hang onto him. The TDs will come. He's too good. Keep sending him out there, and you'll be rewarded.

Willie Beamen (Miami)

NonPPR--Who is the best FLEX Option here in Wk8--Ridley, DezB, OR Denarius Moore? Thanks!

Christopher Harris
  (11:11 AM)

Well, I definitely don't love Ridley right now based on his usage the past couple weeks, but I think he's got to be my choice out of this group.....

Gabe (Seattle)

Vincent Brown thoughts?

Christopher Harris
  (11:11 AM)

Hi, Gabe. I wrote about him in brief in this week's Free Agent Finds on ESPN.com, so check that out. The only reports I've seen about him is that he hasn't practiced much yet, which makes it sound unlikely he'd play when he's first eligible. Certainly, though, in a very deep league he's worth a speculative add....

Brian (NY)

Karabell was advising to trade Megatron yesterday fyi.

Christopher Harris
  (11:12 AM)

Hi, Brian. I respect EK -- we are each entitled to our own opinions. I think trading away a superstar at less-than-peak value is a losing strategy, and this player is too good not to explode. My opinion, obviously.

Garrett (Rochester)

Any news on Graham, my only other option is Rudolph, and he plays tonight

Christopher Harris
  (11:14 AM)

Hi, Garrett. I think you probably know what I know. Graham hasn't done much yet in practice, but the Saints say they're optimistic. I'm not sure how to quantify that. I guess my initial assumption is that he's going to play. But I wouldn't be shocked if that turns out wrong. I think you really have 2 choices: (1) start Rudolph; (2) pick up another TE who plays Sunday, in case Graham can't go. Obviously it depends on if there's an acceptable wavier-wire alternative, and/or if you can spare the roster spot. Rudolph disappointed last week, but he should bounce back. He's no Graham, but he's pretty good.

Joey (chicago)

what's a stafford owner to do? his value is pretty low right now. just hang on to him and hope for the best?

Christopher Harris
  (11:16 AM)

Hi, Joey. This week figures to be rough as well, because the Seahawks are as tough as the Bears for opposing QBs. Things probably loosen up for him after that. My philosophy in general is: What are you supposed to do? You can't drop the guy. You can't trade him for, I dunno, Alex Smith. So I think you're kind of married to him. He's 15th on my QB list this week. I'd pick up Sam Bradford and play him over Stafford if I could. But when the matchups get better, so will Stafford. The yards are there. The TDs will come.

Z (DE)

Stafford owner here, looking to upgrade. Is T Smith and Spiller too much for Big Ben and Willis? Not enough?

Christopher Harris
  (11:19 AM)

Hi, Z. I mean, how much of an upgrade is it? Big Ben has about 2 fantasy points per game more than Stafford. I know it *feels* worse than that, but it's just not. Neither guy is going nutso. I'd clearly rather have Big Ben this week, but I'd probably rather have Stafford ROS. I wouldn't do this, if only because now you set yourself up to have to pick between the two of them every week.

James (A Giant Peach)

I know it looks like David Wilson's 2012 will be unremarkable on 1st-3rd downs... but do you have any thoughts on his value is as a possible keeper for next year?

Christopher Harris
  (11:20 AM)

Sure, I think Wilson will be a good NFL player. Ahmad Bradshaw is a tough dude, but his shelf life with those feet and ankles seems quite limited, and Wilson has the speed to be a major playmaker in the NFL. Still has excellent dynasty value.

Reed (ATL)

Hello Mr. Harris! Which Pittsburgh RB, if any, would play this week or is it dependent on the next few days of practice?

Christopher Harris
  (11:20 AM)

Hi, Reed. Yup, you nailed it. Depends on who can play. Dwyer was obviously pretty good last week, but the best he'll be is in a rotation if Mendenhall and/or Redman can go.

Charlotte (My Web)

What're your thoughts on dropping MJD in a non-keeper for jennings? Onmly healthy RBS are Charles/martin/mathews

Christopher Harris
  (11:21 AM)

I have to believe you have someone else you can drop. I would not drop MJD until we find out the full extent of the injury and get a real timetable. If he's only out 4 games, you're going to feel mighty silly.....

Nick (College Park)

Follow-up re: Pittsburgh backfield. If ONLY Dwyer goes, how much do you like him this weekend?

Christopher Harris
  (11:22 AM)

Hi, Nick. That was my assumption when I did my preliminary ranks, and I have Dwyer 25th. So he's a flex for me.....

jy (ny)

F.Jax is my #4 RB. good idea to trade him for MJD??

Christopher Harris
  (11:22 AM)

Hi, JY. No, I don't think I'd do that either, because again, we really don't know the extent of MJD's lost time. If he's out for the year, that will wind up looking pretty bad.

Ryan (Columbus)

Who would you rather own in a keeper? Demarco Murray or Chris Johnson.

Christopher Harris
  (11:23 AM)

Hi, Ryan. Great question, and I reserve the right to change my mind, because I haven't put any thought into keeper stuff yet. But I think I'd have to say Johnson. At least he stays healthy, and as I've written a bunch over the past few weeks, I don't question his talent or desire at all. His situation right now is dicey, with a sub-par O-line. But that can be remedied. I'm not sure about Murray's health woes, which have dogged him his entire life....

Grant (New Haven, CT)

Who do you value more ROS, CJ Spiller or Trent Richardson?

Christopher Harris
  (11:24 AM)

Hi, Grant. Another good one. The answer is probably still Richardson, despite his rib injury, though in the next couple weeks it's unclear how much he's going to play. Spiller is a game-buster for sure, but for as long as Fred Jackson is around, his workload is likely to be in flux. So I'll say T-Rich.

Tyler (Baltimore)

How many more weeks until Hunter takes over the majority of rushes from Gore?

Christopher Harris
  (11:26 AM)

Hi, Tyler. I don't think it's quite the fait accompli that you do. First off, Gore is having a wonderful season, and the Niners don't seem inclined to rest him yet. Second off, despite how much *I* like Hunter, I'm not sure the Niners think he's a feature back. He's undersized. And they want to keep everyone healthy. My guess is that this doesn't happen at all, unless it's the final game of the season. (With the caveat that if Gore gets hurt, Hunter benefits most, though it would be a committee.)

Showtime (Chicago)

How do you value Rashad Jennings this week? Is it a stretch to play him over Fitzgerald at flex in a non-ppr? I'm starting Percy and Nicks with Lloyd and Britt on the bench.

Christopher Harris
  (11:27 AM)

Check out the Fantasy Underground podcast -- we do a whole segment on Jennings. Suffice it to say if you're looking for someone to tell you that you should bench your studs, you're chatting with the wrong dude. I'm keeping Fitz in my lineup every single week, no matter what. But that's me.

Christopher Harris
  (11:29 AM)

Okay, gang, we've reached the portion of our show where I'm going to ask a Slotback Rhapsody question, and correct answerers will get their Q answered. What's the name of the first-round rookie corner from Rutgers who does a bunch of jawing at Nick Morrison and whom Morrison knocks over at training camp during an Oklahoma Drill? (You only need to answer once, guys....) (And remember, you can check the book at at: www.slotbackrhapsody.com.)

Brian (Philly)

Would you trade Rudolph for Murray if you also had Gates (and could pick up Olsen or Celek as insurance?)

Christopher Harris
  (11:30 AM)

Hi, Brian -- I think the deal is in your favor, because I do think that Murray will come back sooner rather than later, though of course how long he stays healthy after that is anyone's guess. But clearly you're assuming more risk. Still, I'd do it.

Matt (California )

Deangelo williams has been absolutely awful and the panthers dont seem to be getting any better. Anyone worth picking up in a 12 team PPR league to replace him?

Christopher Harris
  (11:32 AM)

Hi, Matt. It would be mighty tough for me to drop him, despite how dismal his circumstances look at the moment. I mean, he's really *good*. I can't believe that at some point this year, by luck or by design, the Panthers actually start going back to him. He belongs on your bench for sure, but I can't drop him.

Mouse Morrison (Oakland)

Hi Chris: Do you approach the London games any differently? Plus for defenses, negative for offenses? Or no real difference?

Christopher Harris
  (11:33 AM)

No really difference for me. (And yeah, no, Morrison is the main character and he plays in Detroit. But it was an interesting question...)

Ian (NY)

Who is the better option going forward...Ryan Matthews or Matt Forte? I was offered Forte and Jordy Nelson for Matthews and Anquan Boldin

Christopher Harris
  (11:35 AM)

Hi, Ian. I think they're close enough that you do that deal, because Nelson is clearly a better option that Boldin. Gun to my head, I think I pick Forte over Mathews anyway, but with Jordy in the deal, go for it.

Christopher Harris
  (11:36 AM)

Okay -- I'm going to spend a couple minutes answering the correct trivia answerers...then back to everyone.......

Jeff (TX)

Husseyn Norwell - PPR, need one from R. Jennings, Mendy, and Felix and to sit one of Welker, Julio, V JAX, and Dez

Christopher Harris
  (11:37 AM)

Correct, Jeff. Thanks. PPR, I think I use Jennings at RB, and I think I sit Dez because we're not positive about his groin.

Husseyn Norwell (USA)

Thoughts on this deal? I give Spiller and Demaryius Thomas for Ray Rice. I have Austin and Nicks as my other receivers and Richardson and Lynch as my other running backs.

Christopher Harris
  (11:37 AM)

I would do it. Rice is such a stud.

Husseyn Norwell (Santa Fe)

Jmail and Big Ben for Brees, fair or overpaying? Have Martin, Foster and Spiller.

Christopher Harris
  (11:38 AM)

It's tough -- I think it's fair, and since you have Foster already, your RB1 slot is locked up. I think I might do it, because Brees is out of control good. But yeah, Foster/Charles in the backfield also feels fine. Fair trade.

Husseyn Norwell (Santa Fe)

Jmail and Big Ben for Brees? Fair or overpaying? I have Foster, Spiller and Martin in non-ppr.

Husseyn Norwell (Slotback Land!)

Better D this week: Vikes or Detroit? Caveat: sacks are worth 2 points in the league.

Christopher Harris
  (11:39 AM)

I'll say the Vikings by a whisker.

Husseyn Norwell (NJ)

Cam Newton is on waivers in my league...which QB should I drop for him - Rivers or Luck?

Christopher Harris
  (11:39 AM)

Good heavens. People should not drop Cam. (We talked about him on this week's podcast, BTW...). I guess if I'm picking a guy to drop, it's Rivers.

Phil (New York)

Husseyn Norwell - For ROS (PPR), how would you rank these RBs? Ballard, Dwyer, Hardesty, Tanner, Vereen. Thanks.

Christopher Harris
  (11:40 AM)

Thanks, Phil. I think I'd rank 'em: Dwyer, Vereen, Ballard, Hardesty, Tanner.

Husseyn Norwell (Rutgers)

What do you think would be fair RB value for Hernandez? What about Graham?

Christopher Harris
  (11:40 AM)

Honestly, either way I think you have to be getting a top 10 RB. Those guys have the potential to be head-and-shoulders above the crowd at TE.

Matt (Chattanooga)

Husseyn Norwell Alex Green or Josh Gordon at Flex in PPR

Christopher Harris
  (11:41 AM)

Thanks for reading, Matt. PPR, I think I go Green.

Scott (Northglenn, CO)

Norwell!! Give us your thoughts on the Det WRs oppostie Calvin now - woudl you rather pick up Givens, Titus, Broyles or hankerson?

Christopher Harris
  (11:41 AM)

Hi, Scott. Definitely Titus. I know I'm a bit not-to-be-believed on him after my summer love, but hopefully better late than never.

Husseyn Norwell (SBR)

So, what should I do with 2 up and down backs like mcfadden and jmail on my team?

Christopher Harris
  (11:42 AM)

Yeah, that's tough for sure. To some extent it depends on who else you have in your backfield and whether you can afford to trade one of those guys for someone more stable. But you might just have to ride it out.

Husseyn Norwell (Slotback)

I feel dirty benching DMC for Alf and McGahee...

Christopher Harris
  (11:42 AM)

I hear ya. I have McFadden higher than McGahee, though....

Husseyn Norwell (SBR)

Trade offers, yay or nay - FJax for Torrey? Martin/Graham for Daniels/DMC? Vick/Graham for Cam/VJax?

Christopher Harris
  (11:43 AM)

(1) Fair; (2) I'd rather have the former duo; (3) fair.

Husseyn Norwell (Rutgers)

ROS: LeSean McCoy or Marshawn Lynch? It's gotta be McCoy, right?

Christopher Harris
  (11:43 AM)

Yes, I'm hanging with Shady.

Husseyn Norwell (Bohemian Rhapsody)

C-Dog was this a good trade- mike wallace and 49ers D for calvin. part of reason i did it was because i have Cardinals D also.Thoughts on them ROS?

Christopher Harris
  (11:43 AM)

I like it if you're the Megatron side. I'm sticking by him. It'll get better for him soon.

Husseyn Norwell (Rutgers)

Maybe the right answer will finally get me answered!!??Time to drop Flacco? Ravens have a decent schedule after the bye, but is he even worth holding on to? I have Stafford too, so I'm obviously in a pickle. Do I just play match-ups between Stafford and a different FA QB every week, or do I hold out hope for Flacco?

Christopher Harris
  (11:44 AM)

I do prefer Stafford to Flacco ROS, but am I sure enough to drop your backup? I tend to think you shouldn't drop him...though I don't know what level of FA you have on your waiver wire. Maybe you could *trade* Flacco after his next good game?

Nate (Minneapolis)

Husseyn Norwell: PPR league at Flex. Jennings, Leshoure, or Britt. Thanks. Do I get double points if I am getting the paperback version as well?

Christopher Harris
  (11:45 AM)

Hi, Nate. I think I go Jennings in a PPR. (Assuming we're talking Rashad, not Greg.) Ha, no double-points, but message me on Twitter if you'd like it signed.

Husseyn Norwell! (Slotback)

Hey CH, Martin or Ridley ROS? I wanna target Martin for schedule. Ridley and Cobb or M.Williams sound like fair market value or ask for a WR3/Flex too? Thanks!

Christopher Harris
  (11:46 AM)

I'm going with Martin over Ridley. I would prefer to package Williams with Ridley, rather than Cobb.

Danny (St Louis)

Husseyn Norwell is the answer...Crazy as it sounds, someone dropped MJD in my league, want to do a waiver but not sure. I have Forte, Reggie Bush, SJax and Leshoure. Who would you drop, if any?

Christopher Harris
  (11:47 AM)

That is crazy. Yeah, you should grab him. I have to imagine you can find *someone* else to drop? If not, I would drop Leshoure. But, y'know, drop a defense or something?

Husseyn Norwell (your book)

In my 12-team league that plays no flex, I have Marshall, Roddy, and Harvin, Lance Moore at WR; Foster, DMC, and CJ0.5K at RB. Would you dangle one of the stud WRs (we play 3 WRs) for a RB2 upgrade or sit tight?

Christopher Harris
  (11:47 AM)

No, I think you sit tight. CJ certainly performed last week, and maybe McFadden will start this week. The last thing you need is *another* tough decision every week about whom to play at RB2.

Christopher Harris
  (11:48 AM)

Okay, thanks for all you Husseyn Norwell trivia-answer knowers out there. Again: www.slotbackrhapsody.com...... I think you'd like the book, it's about football, and HGH and Buddhism. It's funny! Now back to everyone's questions.....

Rob (KC)

Is Brandon Bolden and Lloyd for Maclin a good trade to a Ridley owner? If so then why?

Christopher Harris
  (11:49 AM)

Hi, Rob. I probably value Maclin and Lloyd about the same. We talked about Lloyd in depth on the Fantasy Underground podcast this week; I suggest you listen. I think the deal is probably fair because we don't know how badly Bolden is hurt...I'm not sure he's really even Ridley's handcuff anymore.....

Bill (Chicago)

Martellus Bennett or Dustin Keller ROS?

Christopher Harris
  (11:50 AM)

Hi, Bill. It's a very good question...but Bennett's signs of life last week make me think his knee is OK, so I'm going to pick him just on the "Better QB" theory.....

ryan (reno)

Flex play this week: Decker or the Muscle Hampster? I'm leaning towards Decker with the matchup

Christopher Harris
  (11:50 AM)

Hi, Ryan. I can see that. I have Decker 13th among WRs and Martin 14th among RBs. It's close enough that it probably just comes down to gut feel, and it sounds like your gut is saying Decker.

Brian (PA)

Gates or Rudolph ROS?

Christopher Harris
  (11:51 AM)

Hi, Brian. Probably Gates, though I'm trying not to be hypnotized by the last thing we saw from him...that 2-TD game. Still, he's certainly done it longer.....

Stove (Boston, MA)

Is Ben Tate droppable now in a 10 team even if I own Arian Foster. Would like to pick up a WR flyer like Titus Young or Josh Gordon.

Christopher Harris
  (11:51 AM)

Hi, Stove. Boy, I wouldn't. I think you have to hold onto Tate all year, as lame as that sounds. You can't miss out if Foster gets hurt.

Dave (Boston)

Mike Wallace or Demaryius Thomas ROS?

Christopher Harris
  (11:53 AM)

Hi, Dave. Hm. Very good one. I think I'm going to say Thomas. It was a little slow for him in the Broncos' last game, but he seems to have all the big-play upside of Wallace, but with more possession-receiver and after-the-catch chops. I'm by no means certain about this...it's very close. But at this snapshot in time, as much as I'm a big Wallace fan, I think I have to say Thomas. (And it has nothing to do with Wallace's drops last week....)

Abe (Billings)

Is Finley toast or worth a spot on my bench for bye weeks or a possible come back to fantasy relevance?

Christopher Harris
  (11:53 AM)

Hi, Abe. Tough to say without knowing how deep your league is, whom your other TE is, etc. But I don't think Finley will be without relevance all year. I think he's hurt right now...he's playing through a shoulder injury. Of course, we don't know when he'll get right, but if and when he does, he goes back to the top 10 in my mind.....

Jay (LA)

Who do you value more ROS, Mendenhall or Donald Brown?

Christopher Harris
  (11:54 AM)

Good one, Jay. I guess I'll say Brown. They're both obviously battling injury woes, but one of those guys seems to have his injuries related to a torn ACL. Brown isn't great, but he was playing *okay* before his knee scope.

Mike (NY)

Hey Chris, somebody just offered me a Bowe Or Fitzgerald trade for McGahee (I'm pretty stacked at RB with Rice, Charles, Leshoure).... should I be scared off by the horrible QBs both guys have getting them the ball?

Christopher Harris
  (11:54 AM)

Hi, Mike. Fitz. Do it. Now.

JB (ATL)

Hold onto Tate even if you aren't a Foster owner?

Christopher Harris
  (11:55 AM)

Hi, JB. Well, obviously, that's a little less clear. It depends on your league format, how deep a league, etc. Tate is absolutely not usable in any lineups right now, with Foster playing so much. If you're desperate for a roster spot in a really shallow league, I can see making a move, I guess. Still, he's an utter home-run if Foster gets hurt. You'd be dropping basically a top-3 RB in that event....

Tom (Calif)

Flex: Ballard or Austin?

Christopher Harris
  (11:56 AM)

Hi, Tom. I'd play Austin.

Bill Peterson (Atlanta)

Can you please talk me out of starting Ballard v Ten (28th ranked Def against rbs) over Maclin v Atl(3rd ranked ef against wrs) after maclins big week last week

Christopher Harris
  (11:58 AM)

Hi, Bill. Well, the ATL defense doesn't scare me as much against WRs as that yardage number might indicate...they've been middle-of-the-road in allowing fantasy points to opposing WRs all year. But of course you're right...Ballard's matchup is sweet. I think it's close enough that you should go with your gut...and it sounds like your gut is screaming Ballard.

John (Cuse)

Should i have a problem playing Harvin and rudolph tonight in a PPR? I mean there are only so many passes to go around right?

Christopher Harris
  (11:58 AM)

Very true, John. Comes down to what your other options are, but it sounds like if you're considering this closely, then you probably don't have terrific other options. You have to use Harvin no matter what, and if there aren't other good TE options, just go ahead and use 'em both....

Mike (NY)

In a league with no negative points for turnovers... can I be comfortable with Vick/Dalton as my QB tandem?

Christopher Harris
  (11:59 AM)

Well, "comfortable" is not going to be the right word, probably. But yeah, I mean, I think Vick is going to get better. He's been as bad as he can be and he's still getting enough yards to be useful. I guess you're wedded to him....

Diggy (Chicago)

What sort of ceiling do you see for Mikel Leshoure?

Christopher Harris
  (12:00 PM)

Hi, Diggy. I think his ceiling is as a power back who performs quite well getting into the end zone. Maybe kind of as a mini-Michael-Turner from a couple years ago? I'm not saying that's *likely*...but I think it's his upside....

Tom (Philly)

FYI - Schefter just reported that Mike McCarthy has said groin surgery for G Jennings is an option

Christopher Harris
  (12:01 PM)

Thanks, Tom. Not a wonderful possibility to hear about, obviously....

Eric (Henderson, NV)

J Stew has historically been a second half of the year type of guy. Do you think he turns it on soon?

Christopher Harris
  (12:02 PM)

Hi, Eric. Certainly Stewart's usage last week was encouraging...the Panthers tried to make him a feature back, though he didn't have much success. We'll have to see if that continues going forward...if it does, yes, his upside is tantalizing. I don't really get into the "second-half" stuff...but if he turns into a true starting rusher, he's going to be intriguing....

john (mi)

mendenhall for maclin?

Christopher Harris
  (12:02 PM)

Hi, John. I prefer to be on the Maclin side of that.

Bill (KC)

Trade Megatron for McGahee and Nicks in a PPR?

Christopher Harris
  (12:03 PM)

Hi, Bill. I'm not trading Megatron. I'm stubborn.

Christopher Harris
  (12:03 PM)

Okay, gang, one more and then I've got to get back to writing the Hard Count.

Maiku Hama (Japan)

heard the DMC podcast and here is my opinion- i just traded Ridley and Alex Green for DMC + (in a PPR) and Im thrilled. He will have a big game and his floor seems to be 3-5 catches too. hes not a stud yet, but hes a solid #2 with Top 3 potential EVERY WEEK- very rare.

Christopher Harris
  (12:04 PM)

Thanks for listening...definitely you're right...what you want most of all in fantasy is upside, and few guys have the pure upside of McFadden. And you're also right that if you deal for him under reasonable circumstances (and this trade was definitely reasonable), you no longer have the expectation that he has to be your RB1, or he's a flop. You can treat him like an RB2 in your mind and be quite happy with him, and then if he winds up exploding, you benefit. Nice work.
