  (1:11 PM)

Jurko is running late today. Keep your questions coming. He should be along shortly.

  (1:17 PM)

The Bears found a way to win against Carolina. It wasn't pretty. This Sunday it may bot be pretty again but as long as they find a way to win they hit the ground running ready for Houston.

Mike (Great White North)

The O Line seems to protect better in a no huddle. Maybe we should run this more often?

  (1:17 PM)

I think they are getting to the point in the year where they should be more comfortable running the no-huddle. I like it as a change of pace in the first half. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw it a little earlier.

Kyle (Elmwood Park)

What are you dressed as today for Halloween?

  (1:18 PM)

I was going to get dressed as Winnie the Pooh but they don't have them at the Disney stores anymore. I'm just an average Joe now.

Vince (Toronto, ON)

Will Michael Bush be more involved in the offence this week?

  (1:19 PM)

Does it really matter? As long as you got a RB back there. I think Forte is better than Bush. I think the question is will the OL protect Cutler better? I hope they do

Jeremiah Jolicoeur (Phoenix, AZ)

Is Gabe Carimi another O-Line bust? Who besides Garza is playing well on the O-line?

  (1:21 PM)

Louis is playing well, the best of everyone. As far as Carimi goes, I think that knee is bothering him. I'm starting to wonder if there is a certain point that he gets to where his strength gets diminished where he gets uncomfortable. When he gets rolled over, he gets rolled over. Makes me think there is a certain degree where his leg has less strength.

Tyler (Ohio)

What is with Tice getting away from an effective run game early on?

  (1:23 PM)

I thimk he falls into a trap trying to use the QB and WR he has now. He gets lulled into a false sense of security that he can throw the ball too often. You know you have talent there os you want to throw the ball. Plus if you get to third and 3-plus it's more of a passing down than run. Plus it's coming to the point where I don't think Carimi is effective at run block or pass block.

Matt (Colorado)

I've been impressed with the play of Wright and Conte. Once they took over the starting role there was no looking back. What are you thought on these guys?

  (1:24 PM)

Conte was bad last week. He was playing middle third on the LaFell 65-yard catch and started cheating outside to help the CB and just got run by. Once the play starts don't think, react. Wright has been fine.

Michael (Indiana)

Bears Offensive and Defensive MVP's at this point?

  (1:25 PM)

Offensive MVP is Marshall. Defensive MVP cannot go to one player. I give a tri-MVP to Jennings, Tillman and Briggs.

brandon (phoenix)

Does Jonathan Scott play RT is Carimi goes down?

  (1:26 PM)

I don't know if he can. They would be throwing him into the fire and he would have to respond. It happens in the NFL every week. They either respond and play well of they don't and you start asking real questions about these guys.

Nick (Ann Arbor, MI) [via mobile]

Did you find the win at home against Carolina more encouraging or discouraging? Culter showed his mettle and battled back after a poor first 3 quarters, but the team showed some of the same flaws that were exposed against Green Bay.

  (1:27 PM)

I was shocked they won. There is always going to be a new set of questions after a win or loss. And coaches go about the business of trying to go about theose answers.

Bruce (Milwaukee)

Jurko, we've been waiting for the offense to "break out" and play a complete game, not just a dominating half. Does it happen this weekend?

  (1:28 PM)

It could against the Titans but that doesn't guarantee you anything against Houston or SF. Each game has its own individual dynamics. And what you have to do to beat Tennessee may not be enough against the Texans but maybe plenty for SF.

brandon (phoenix)

What most concerns you about the Titans?

  (1:29 PM)

Johnson going off. I know the Bears have the top D against the rush. That means the Titans will try uncrown the Bears. My concern is Chris Johnson.

Zerry (Columbia, SC)

Hey Jurko, is it time the Bears substitute the "Devin Hester" package with the "Earl Bennet" package? Seems like Devin drops way too many passes and Earl is a strong, tough runner after the catch.

  (1:30 PM)

I think the Hester package was a figment of Tice's imagination. A fancy title to throw the media a bone. There is no Hester package. Devin, please field a punt.

Madooola Oblongotcha (Vacant House)

Is this as good as Cutler will ever get?

  (1:31 PM)

I've seen good games out of him and bad games. He's 12-1 in his last 13 so I don't know what people are complaining about. Ball security is an issue and he has to work on it. Cutler has to hold on to the ball.

Johnny Blaze (Morgan Park)

What do you think of Shea McClellin's progress so far? As a former run stopper, do you think he has what it takes to be a 4-down player. Personally, i think his best asset is his versitilty, as he can rush the passer or drop in coverage at any time. That kind of versitility is soemthing the bears haven't had on the d-line for quite some time.

  (1:34 PM)

I do not believe him to be a four-down player unless he can get heavier. Do you take away his quickness if he becomes a heavier player? I say yes. I believe he is more suited to be a backer and not play with his hand in the dirt.

Callum (Wisconsin)

Can the Bears really compete with the elite teams in the NFL? You play poorly on offense against the 49ers and you will be in trouble.

  (1:35 PM)

Yes, I think they can compete. GB doesn't blow me out of the water. Atlanta hasn't played anybody either. Every game is its own game. What happened two weeks ago doesn't mean it will happen again this Sunday. Decision have to be made in real time.

mike (chicago)

Does Lovie HAVE to win a superbowl this year to get a long term extension? If hypothetically they go 11-5 and lose in the divisional round of the playoffs what direction would the Bears take?

  (1:36 PM)

No, Lovie must enter the playoffs and advance. I would love if the Bears went to the SB. It would be a week of partying in New Orleans. But if they get into the playoffs I think he will be fine.

Mike (Great White North)

Great comments, as usual! What is the latest regarding the health of Johnny Knox? Me thinks his career might be in jeopardy..

  (1:37 PM)

He has a spinal injury that he is recovering from. The short answer would be yes, his career is in jeopardy.

Brandon (Phoenix)

Is Hester even on the Bears roster opening day 2013 with his salary?

  (1:39 PM)

It's tough for me to answer because I understand who Devin Hester is. I asked for him to be traded a few years ago when he had maximized his value. I think he will be one of those guys who they will let walk when his contract is up. I think the NFL kickoff rule is bad.

  (1:41 PM)

The Bears go down to Tennessee and find a way to get a victory. It will be Bears 24, Titans 19. That is what I believe. Talk to you next week.
