Hey, hope you all are safe and have had electricity and heat. What you guys got today?

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Do you know why is the Giants are always Stinking at Home every year?

Ohm
  (1:00 PM)

Chris, I'll forward your question to Coach Coughlin. No idea. The Giants don't even know. But they like playing on the road better for some reason.

Alex (Anaheim)

Is Andre Brown going to score more touchdowns than Bradshaw the rest of the way?

Ohm
  (1:01 PM)

Alex, good question. I think both get to share goal line carries but it certainly appears Brown will get cracks at the goal line. Depends on if Bradshaw is going well, then they may stick with him. But right now, appears Bradshaw gets bulk of carries, Brown gets first crack at end zone.

Pete (MI)

Sparty sucks!!!

Very excited for basketball season starting on Friday night in Germany vs UConn.

Hey ohm. Whats up with eli the last couple of weeks? He looks like he did in his first two years in the nfl?

Ohm
  (1:03 PM)

I think he has faced some good pass defenses like Dallas and Pittsburgh, some of his receivers are not winning one-on-one battles and sometimes it can be small things like throwing off his back foot. But he needs to get guys more on the same page, develop better chemistry with Martellus and get Cruz going on short inside routes. Nicks is a big key. if he can get healthy, Giants will be better. They also need a third WR to step up.

Mac (Brooklyn)

Hi Ohm,What is going on with Hakeem Nicks's knee that the Giants aren't telling us? Is it sprained or something? Clearly this is a major issue as it's been flaring up since the game against TB. And it is troubling that the Giants aren't saying specifically what the problem is. What say you? Thanks.

Ohm
  (1:04 PM)

The Giants are typically pretty up front with injuries. But if Nicks doesn't want something divulged to protect himself, then they are not going to say. Everybody is built differently. Everybody heals differently. Right now, Nicks is not healthy. But he is battling. He may have done some stuff in practice today. We'll find out later.

Michael C. (Westport, CT)

What do you make of the running game? I love Bradshaw's toughness but some games he just doesn't go anywhere. And there isn't anything consistent behind him. The old Earth, Wind & Fire threesome is long gone, and I think it could spell trouble. Your thoughts?

Ohm
  (1:05 PM)

I think when we talk about the running game it is always a combination of offensive line blocking, the running back and playcalling. It's never just one guy's fault. I'm not sure this running game would be that much better if Brandon were still here. It wasn't great last year.

Benny (Bronx)

After Cruz, Nicks is banged up and all other receivers are untested. A big potential problem?

Ohm
  (1:06 PM)

The receivers need to get going. I don't doubt Cruz and Nicks but Nicks is hurt. Hixon, Barden, Randle and Jernigan -- someone of those guys needs to become a threat the way Manningham was. But Nicks is the big key. When he is healthy, everything else starts going.

Chuck (Norris)

Do you see the Giants going back to Locklear after Diehl's poor, not "ok", performance last Sunday? I still don't understand why the switch was made to begin with given that Locklear was clearly outplaying him. If it was out of pure loyalty, then I find that excuse very troubling.

Ohm
  (1:08 PM)

Chuck, good question. We'll have to see how Snee's injury progresses. It appears he will not practice again today. If Snee doesn't practice tomorrow and is declared out -- which would somewhat surprise me -- then Diehl could slide to guard and Locklear back at tackle. If Snee plays, we'll have to see what Coughlin does.

Dan (Long Island City)

Why don't the Gmen ever start out a game in the no huddle-spread Offense? This would seem like the perfect remedy to a slow start while allowing Eli to get hot quick. Eli is more like Vinny (the microwave Johnson) and when he gets going no QB is better.

Ohm
  (1:09 PM)

Dan, Eli and Gilbride are asked this numerous times and both say that it doesn't always work and that their offense isn't built that way. They say that when they do try some no-huddle in non two-minute situations, it sometimes backfires or doesn't work.

Nick (Phoenix)

With these constant injuries to Hakeem Nicks, could we see the Giants not willing to pay him as much as Victor Cruz? And if the offer is not as good, can we see Hakeem leaving the Giants?

Ohm
  (1:10 PM)

Nick, I wish I could predict how negotiations are going to go. But I have no idea. I would think that it certainly isn't going to help Nicks leverage. But there is still a lot of season left to be played. And I'd like to see the Giants keep both receivers.

Zachary (New York)

Whats wrong with nicks? is it just the lingering injuries or is there something wrong?

Ohm
  (1:10 PM)

Zachary, don't want to ignore your question but answered it earlier. And really, I don't know what is wrong with him without being Hakeem. LOL.

AJ (NYC)

Starting to really think the Giants need to lock Cruz up in a hurry. Nicks is one of the best receivers I've seen in a Giants uniform..but he can't seem to stay on the field. Do these injuries seem to be something he'll be dealing with for the rest of his career?

Ohm
  (1:11 PM)

AJ, I don't know. You certainly hope not. That is fore sure. But he has dealt with a lot of injuries in his career. You certainly hope he can be healthy for the long haul. I think the surgery with his foot should ultimately pay dividends in that.

Ohm

john (dallas)

read the opinions on what the g men need from the draft it is obvious to me they need "2" play making LBs. They just miss so much on D because they give up big on 1st or 2nd

Ohm
  (1:14 PM)

John, you and several other Giants fans want linebackers. But for this scheme, it's more important to the Giants to have pass rushers. Do I think they can use another linebacker, yes. But I think they OL, CB and DE with future of Osi in question.

Jarred (NYC)

With JPP constantly getting double and triple teamed, why is that Tuck, Osi and the other pass rushers are still struggling to get to the QB?

Ohm
  (1:15 PM)

Good question. But I don't think it is just JPP who is getting doubled. I have seen Tuck and Osi get chipped as well.

Corey D (Austin)

What are the Giants thought about Prince so far? Still gets picked on by opposing QB and C-Web is sturggling.

Ohm
  (1:16 PM)

I think to be fair, the whole secondary is being picked on. Prince had been solid up until the second half of the Dallas game. But I think he hasn't been horrible. I think he has been alright. But I tried to have realistic expectations. Remember, this is basically his first year of playing.

Barack (Washington DC)

Did you vote for me?

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

Victor Cruz sure did, campaigning for Barack in South Florida and helping with the Latino vote.

Joe (NY)

Ohm, this may not seem like a big game on paper but it is. 1. It is the first step to a strangle hold on the East. 2. Quiets any 2nd half swoon talk for a bit. 3. Puts a strangle hold on the East. Did I mention that already. You feel me on that one, Ohm?

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

Joe, Word to the Mutha.

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

When will we see Chase Blackburn play again for the Giants?

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

Chris, Chase says he has a high hamstring pull. But I think he tried to do some stuff on the field today.

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

Alright guys, thanks for your questions! Hope you keep your power all weekend long and no more storms!
