How have you trained to handle a hard hitter like Berto, being only your second fight at this weight class

Robert Guerrero
  (3:31 PM)

Just working hard. Working on my movement and going off my experience from past fights.

jose [via mobile]

Hi robert. I want to know why you haven't been more active in boxing this past years. Because I know you can be No. 1 in the boxing rankings.

Robert Guerrero
  (3:32 PM)

My wife was diagnosed with leukemia and I needed to be by her side. Family comes first and I needed to be by her side to make sure she got healthy. The good thing is that she's not cancer free and I'm back to concentrating on boxing.

Do you think you have what it takes to beat Andre Berto and perhaps be able to knock him out?

Robert Guerrero
  (3:34 PM)

Oh yes, definitely. I wouldn't have taken the fight if I didn't believe that I could beat him. I've trained hard and I'm focused for this fight so a knock is possible.

Lee (Canada)

Who was your favourite boxer growing up ?

Robert Guerrero
  (3:36 PM)

There were number of fighters I liked watching growing up. I'm a fan of Oscar De La Hoya, Julio Cesar Chavez and Roberto Duran just to name a few.

What's your Strategy for this fight against berto and are you concerned of his past with steroid use?

Robert Guerrero
  (3:38 PM)

My strategy is to go in the ring and execute the gameplan that my father and I put together. As far as the steroid use, there's no concern there. We've gone through strict testing to make sure everyone is fighting on a fair playing level.

Lee (Thornton)

What do you feel are andres weaknesses in this fight ?

Robert Guerrero
  (3:39 PM)

To tell you the truth, he has a lot of strengths and very little weaknesses. But I do think that his stamina will be a problem. Getting through 12 rounds might be tough for him.

SCOTT ROOKER (HUNTINGTON BEACH,CA)

Do u see yourself being remembered as a fighter who fight anyone and everyone!

Robert Guerrero
  (3:40 PM)

Oh yes. That's one of the biggest components in leaving a good legacy. It's always a good thing when people know you've fought the best there is to fight during your career.

Sam (San Jose (CA))

Ay from the bay, I know that you are focused on the berto fight and I hope that goes well for you and maybe even KO him but are you still interested in fighting Broner?

Robert Guerrero
  (3:41 PM)

No, I'm not too interested in fighting Broner right now, but if the fight does come along in the future then I'd be willing to take a look at it. I know he's handling his business at his weight class and maybe down the line we'll meet.

Alex (Chicago)

Do you see this fight as a classic boxing match or a classic slugfest?

Robert Guerrero
  (3:42 PM)

Who knows, only time will tell. It all depends on how Betro comes into the fight. We'll have to see what happens.
