  (12:46 PM)

Bears looked good against Minnesota but a ton of injuries hopefully will not take its toll.

Reggie (work)

Was Carimi's decent job at guard just a fluke or can he actually start and produce there?

  (12:48 PM)

First of all, the Bears may be excited about what Carimi did at guard, but take a look inside the numbers and tell me how impressed you are. He did a serviceable job there, serviceable, and if that's where you want to set the bar. There you go. But there is a lot of room for improvement.

Jay Wilson Bahamas [via mobile]

Will the bears go after Babin

  (12:49 PM)

No. He's got $25M left on two years in his contract. You'd be committing salary cap problems. If he doesn't get claimed and you can negotiate a contract, maybe, but he is 32 years old.

Kellen (CPDB)

Tell me about Michael Bush. Is he effective because he's a change of pace from Forte, or will he be effective as the #1 back if Forte can't go?

  (12:50 PM)

Bush can run the ball, and when given a chance he's also a good receiver in an offnese that doesn't throw the ball to its backs anymore.

Moses ((somewhere))

Jurko, Why doesn't Tice give Jay Cutler more boot legs? If I am correct When Jay did this in Denver he was at his best.

  (12:50 PM)

You have to have a quality running game and commit to that to be able to run a bootleg. Other teams have to believe you're willing to run the ball.

Darin (Western Illinois)

Outside of the offensive line, which I think we can all agree is the biggest area of need, what area do you feel will need the most attention in the offseason? To me the defensive depth in the back 7 seems important given the age of several players, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

  (12:51 PM)

Tight end. And at some point you have to replace the LBs, they're not going to be here forever.

Mike (Great White North)

The announcers up here don't believe Jared Allen's hit on Louis was dirty. I think it was. Your thoughts?

  (12:52 PM)

I think you have a responsibility when you're on the field to protect yourself at all times. I don't like the wussification of the game at all positions. Lance Louis needed to be cognizant of what was happening and who was around him. I don't blame Jared Allen for getting hurt. I blame Lance Louis for getting hurt.

Orlando Pace (Jewel parking lot)

Andre Gurode reminds me a lot of ME, when i joined the Bears. Will he produce exactly as little as I did with the Bears?

  (12:53 PM)

You might be right my friend. Andre is here in an emergency situation. Break glass in case of emergency and Andre will pop out.

Mike Luna/ Brighton,CO [via mobile]

Is Andre Gurode the answer to the Bears offensive line woes? Does he have anything left in the tank, he is 33 years old?He was a good player for both Colorado Buffs and Dallas Cowboys

  (12:55 PM)

He's got some fumes left in that tank. Maybe enough to give you a drive. I saw pictures when he was hurt in Dallas, didn't look good. You have to wonder just how big he is.

Jack (Vernon Hills)

Hey Jurko! Do you think da Bears wish they had Chris Williams now?

  (12:56 PM)

Sure they do. They won't tell you but absolutely. Emery was making a point when he let Williams go and now he's hoping that doens't come back to haunt him.

ARob (Chicago) [via mobile]

Hey Jurko! Seattle doesn't have great receivers, and I hear that Russell Wilson isn't a turnover machine. Is their offensive line vulnerable enough for 4-5 sacks?

  (12:57 PM)

I would say no. I believe Okung shut down Peppers before.

Dustin (Chicago)

How bad are the injuries? You think the Bears can overcome them and get a win on Sunday?

  (12:59 PM)

I believe they can overcome them. I think Peanut will play. Devin got hurt, big deal. Forte in this offense with Marshall Forte's importance has fallen off the face of the earth. Good replacement in Bush. Don't worry about a thing.

Jake (streator) [via mobile]

I think the injury to Louis is a blessing in disguise. Carimi is nowhere close to being a tackle in this league but I do think he could be an above average guard. What are your thoughts on it?

  (1:00 PM)

We'll see. Only time will tell. I'm not an over the top fan of what I've seen so far. I worry about his injury and I will forever.

desk jockey (cdw)

Seahawks are 1-5 on the road. How could they beat the Bears?

  (1:00 PM)

Keep the Bears' offense off the field. It's not a crazy concept on how they can beat the Bears. It's not that complicated.

Roland (CPDB)

Can teams stop Marshall from catching the ball if Jay just keeps throwing it to him? I feel like we hear every week that they double him, and he still comes out with double digit catches

  (1:01 PM)

Not every week. Houston held him to two receptions and Green Bay shut him down. Marshall does a nice job of getting position on CBs.I think he'll find a way to be productive but I beleive he'll have to utilize the old double move.

jen buechler (south carolina)

Hi y'all. Why have the Bears waited so long to start throwing to Bennett?

  (1:02 PM)

Becuase Bennett wasn't able to get open. They targeted him some in games and he wasn't able to get open. Jay also needs to get him the ball in the rigth position so he can continue to get yards after the catch.

Peter(Chicago) [via mobile]

Are the Bears going to go 12-4 with their only loss coming to the packers in week 15? If not, when will they lose another game.

  (1:04 PM)

At Minnesota will be tough and Green Bay will be very tough. Bears will go 3-2 in the last five. I think it will be Detroit's Super Bowl.

Jason (Minnesota)

How much fault is cutler's for not finding other recievers besides Marshall and how much fault is the recievers for not getting open?

  (1:05 PM)

I think Jay's got a tendency to focus on one guy, and that guy is Marshall and that could affect the timing of the other routes. I'd say 65 percent receivers fault and 35 percent Jay.

Alex (Mobile, AL)

Jurko, Wouldn?t make more sense for the Bears to cut Matt Tonenia then Amobi Okoye? Do the Bears have plans for Tonenia when he finally gets healthy?

  (1:06 PM)

I think they saw what they wanted out of Okoye and what they saw they didn't like. They're kind of smitten with Collins, I don't know why.

Dom (The good kid's heart)

When will Harry realize he can't stop the Good Kid's streak in Jurko vs Harry???

  (1:07 PM)

He tried to sabotauge the game yesterday with one-word answers. Whenever he gets that feeling of desperation he goes into sabotauge mode. It's unfortunate. You're supposed to have 104 games, and we'r enot close. Of course I'm disgruntled and disheartened.

Jim (Afghanistan)

Why aren't they running the ball more often?? It seems the line is a better rushing line than a passing line.

  (1:09 PM)

The one weapon you have is Jay Cutler. Alongside Jay Cutler is Brandon marshall. Those are your weapons. Your OL last week aveaged 3.0 ypc. That will lose games for you.

Badr (arlington VA)

Do you agree that the game against the packers at Soldier field will decide the NFC north?

  (1:09 PM)

I think it will. It's imperative the Bears win that game.

Dom (Calumet )

Is Tillman's chipped bone situation anything similar to the chipped bone in Konerko's hand while he played during the season?

  (1:11 PM)

It probably is similar. If he can play, it's because he has a high threshhold of pain and they used somethign to mask it. No threat of that chip going into the joint.

Andy (WI)

It seemed to me that all of Kyle Rudolf's catches last sunday (including his TD) involved a block of the coverage man for the bears. Is that an illegal block or is it clean because it is inside five yards?

  (1:13 PM)

It's legal. They make it look like a run, so he engages the defender, pretends blocking and then pushes off. The guys who do it wlel make it look like nothing, and hte guys not good at it makes it look like pass interference.

Tom K (California)

Keep up the good work! Can the Bears survive this rash of injuries like many elite teams such as the Patriots, Giants and hurts me to say Packers? For some reason they all continue to win and with Giants & Packers win the Super Bowl with so many injuries. I think we have the depth, just hope they can continue to be victorious. GO BEARS!!!

  (1:14 PM)

They can survive these injuries. They're at home. I think they can win. I have the Bears winning 21-17. Thanks for the great questions. See you next week and listen to ESPN 1000.
