We've got him!

Jason (CO)

when did you decide you wanted to try the winter X Games?

Jacko Strong
  (1:10 PM)

When I realized I had a month freed up in my calendar late in 2012.

wally (nyc)

a lot of your tricks involved great body control. do you have a background in anything that may have helped you with that or is it something that you work on?

Jacko Strong
  (1:10 PM)

I practice at a gymnastics gymnasium and I think that helps me with some of my moves that I do on my dirt bike.

Gordie (Buffalo)

You've had so much success early in your career, how do you stay hungry?

Jacko Strong
  (1:11 PM)

The feeling of winning is so good that it keeps me driven every day to do it more. I'm addicted.

Kevin (VA)

are your tricks all ones that you've come up with or do you have a team of people that help you?

Jacko Strong
  (1:11 PM)

My tricks are all ones I've come up with. It's something that I think about 24/7.

Will (LA)

Is it easier to do tricks where you're moving around the bike while in the air or where you're flipping the bike?

Jacko Strong
  (1:12 PM)

6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Both have their easy and hard points. With my body type and size, it's easy for me to move around the bike.

greg (dc)

how long do you practice a trick before you get it just right?

Jacko Strong
  (1:13 PM)

Depending on the trick, but for the front flip in 2011, it took me two years to figure that one out. For the 2012 X Games, I was able to figure that one out in a couple of months. It depends on the trick, some are easier than others.

Ryan (San Diego)

Have you ever thought abuot trying a different event?

Jacko Strong
  (1:14 PM)

Well, I'm trying out snowmobiling this year. I'm all about testing myself as an athlete. Next year I would like to try a completely different sport, other than snowmobiling and freestyle moto x. Any ideas anyone? Send your ideas to my Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter: @JackoStrong.

Derrick (dallas)

so how big of a change is it going from motocross to snowmobiling?

Jacko Strong
  (1:14 PM)

Riding my dirt bike is small, nimble and powerful. Riding a snowmobile is like riding a massive two door refridgerator. They're two different sports.

Evan (Detroit)

Where do you keep your X Games gold?

Jacko Strong
  (1:15 PM)

They're hanging on the wall in my house in Australia. Don't think about stealing them.

Tommy (Boston)

So, what's wrong with you psychologically that makes you want to flip huge motorized machines in midflight?

Jacko Strong
  (1:15 PM)

For some reason, I find it fun.

Peter (RI)

your body varial trick last year involved you moving and the bike just floating in the air and it didn't look like you could see...how hard is it doing a trick where you can't see the entire time?

Jacko Strong
  (1:16 PM)

It's pretty much rolling the dice. It's tough being blind. Picture driving down the freeway with your eyes closed and that's pretty much what it feels like.

John (Aspen)

where do you come up with the ideas for your tricks?

Jacko Strong
  (1:16 PM)

It's just something I think about 24/7. I like to be innovative.

Kelly (NYC)

How do you work up to a trick?

Jacko Strong
  (1:17 PM)

What's helped me throughout my career is being fit and I like to train on and off the bikes. That helps me in being good physical condition. It's a lot easier mentally knowing that you're fit going into an event.

Fred (Aspen)

Aspen is a great location for Winter X...but what do you think of some of the new spots for the other X Games events?

Jacko Strong
  (1:18 PM)

I'm looking forward to going to the other stops on the X Games. But most of all, I'm looking forward to Aspen the most. It looks like a really fun city.

Stark (Philly)

aside from X Games, what other sports do you like and follow?

Jacko Strong
  (1:18 PM)

Mainly I follow the action sports industry. And I follow Aussie Rules Football back home when it's football season.

Paul (Denver)

how hard is it to get the snowmobile to move while in the air?

Jacko Strong
  (1:19 PM)

Believe it or not, the snowmobile feels more nimble in the air than the dirtbike. The power of the machine is enough to move you and spin you in the air in the way you want to go.

Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)

Jacko, What is your favorite trick?

Jacko Strong
  (1:20 PM)

My favorite trick on my dirt bike is the old school whip. There's no limit on how big you can go and it's fun.

Kristoffer (Norway)

Can we expect a whole new trick on the snowmobile for this X Games? Something we havent seen rathe on a sled or dirtbike?

Jacko Strong
  (1:21 PM)

It's going to be something new to the snowmobile world. Let's just leave it at that.

paul(Chicago)

have you ever though of a trick and tried and tried and not gotten it? What was it?

Jacko Strong
  (1:21 PM)

So far at this point in time, I haven't given up on a trick yet, but there are some tricks that I'm working on.

David (NYC)

you keep going bigger and bigger at the X Games...so how do you get the three peat in best trick?

Jacko Strong
  (1:22 PM)

I don't have an answer for that. All I can do is keep trying and pushing and hoping that's what it comes down to.

will (la)

what's next?

Jacko Strong
  (1:23 PM)

After Winter X Games, I'm putting the snowmobile away and giving all of the Summer X Games stops my 110% dedication. I already have some new ideas for tricks.

Chris (NY)

will hyou have new tricks for every stop?

Jacko Strong
  (1:24 PM)

I'm planning on it, but having four stops of X Games this year is tricky. It's a lot of pressure to have new tricks for each stop, but there will be some minor changes.

Christopher (Winterland)

It snowmobile only for this year, or is it something you wanna do more beside moto x?

Jacko Strong
  (1:24 PM)

I want to keep testing myself each year outside of moto x. Any ideas?

Jacko Strong
  (1:25 PM)
