Do you think that the ducks will do well without coach kelly this year?

Brandon Oliver
  (4:23 PM)

Yes. They will be just fine. The Ducks lost some guys on defense in Dion Jordan, Kiko Alonso and Michael Clay, but they bring back nearly everyone else outside of Kenjon Barner. A fifth straight BCS game is the expectation. Anything less would be a disappointment.

Who will be the new Oregon college football players replacing the ones who are in the 2013 NFL Draft?

Brandon Oliver
  (4:25 PM)

Look for DeForest Buckner and Tony Washington to make an impact in Jordan's spot. LB's Tyson Coleman, Rodney Hardrick and JC transfer Joe Walker will replace Alonso and Clay.Soph. RB Byron Marshall and incoming freshman will help fill the role of Barner's spot at RB.

Who will be the Running Backs & the Starting Quarterback for Oregon in 2013?

Brandon Oliver
  (4:28 PM)

De'Anthony Thomas will get carries at running back, but won't be a full time guy at RB.Soph. Byron Marshall looks to have improved greatly and will likely be the lead back. Unless incoming freshman Thomas Tyner comes in and immediately lives up to the hype. Tyner will get carries and be involved from day one in some capacity. As far as quarterback...Marcus Mariota has the position locked down for as long as he stays in school. Redshirt freshman Jeff Lockie and Jake Rodrigues will battle for the back up role and will both get plenty of reps in garbage time.

Brandon, where to you see Kenjon Barner going in the draft and how do you project him as a pro? More of a Darren Sproles type back or every down like a jamall charles?

Brandon Oliver
  (4:44 PM)

Barner had a decent combine and appears to be a huge wildcard. He could go anywhere from the second round to the fifth round.I know some scouts like him more as a pro prospect than LaMichael James as his versatility in the return game and passing game might be better than James'.The concern with Barner is his size and whether or not he can carry the load. He will never be an every-down back in the NFL, but those barely exist anymore anyways. He isn't Darren Sproles or Reggie Bush, but he is in the same mold. He will likely be used the way Reggie Bush has been throughout his career.
