Here for a chat before off to Charlotte.
Who leaves the A 10 next year? And how many A 10 teams do you think will make the tournament this year?
Barring something unforeseen I'll go with Xavier and Butler for now out of the A-10 based on all our sources.
ben mcclemore..stay or go
I don't see how he stays. He'll be a top five pick.
Andy when will the fans realize you can not rush the court ?i think the ncaa should look into this further.and i will be watching the experts tomorrow i want this to be talked about.your comments.
Thanks for watching the experts. We'll have another great show Tuesday. But this isn't an NCAA issue. It's a school/conference issue. The NCAA doesn't control these buildings. The NCAA does control the NCAA tournament and that's why you never see a court storming in the NCAA tournament.
Are the New Mexico Lobos a #1 seed in your eyes after winning the MWC Outright (and their 4th championship in 5 years)? Are they starting to become on of the nations elite programs like Duke, Kentucky, Indiana? Or do they have to make an NCAA Run to like the Elite 8, Final 4, to be considered one of them?
You can't put New Mexico in that group due to overall tradition. But the Lobos are now on a run where they are expected to be a MWC title contender and NCAA-bid team. This Lobos team probably caps out at a No. 2 seed or no worse than a No. 3.
Hey Andy, what do you think about the Sooners and Lon Kruger in his second year? Do you think they can make a run in the NCAA tournament?
OU is on the bubble and could use a few more good wins to ensure a berth. The Big 12 will be telling for OU and Iowa State, two teams that still need to do some work.
Any chance the Friars sneak in the tourney if they finish the regular season 2-0 and win 1 or 2 at MSG??
Long shot without getting to the final. It's always who you beat. So if Providence were to knock off ranked teams in New York then the Friars could have a shot and clearly to get to the final PC would have to do so.
Who could be the VCU of this years bracket?
I will take this in a different direction. A team that could make a deep run that finishes in the middle of the league or in at least third place? North Carolina. Don't sleep on the Tar Heels.
Gonzaga getting the number one ranking is controversial, but what would it take to get them the #1 overall seed? THAT would ruffle some analyst feathers.
I don't think so. The No. 1 overall seed won't mean as much. Indiana just wants to be in Indianapolis. That's all that matters for the Hoosiers.
Terps got a chance if they finish the season 2-0?
Need to do more work in the ACC tournament.
Is UVA just as frustrating to you as they are for me?!
Yes, although I'm clearly not as vested in the Cavs as you are. I don't know how you pick Virginia in the NCAA tournament. Cavs may be the toughest team to figure.
Do you think Colorado St has a chance in the tourney to make a run?
Experience and rebounding will be a huge plus for this crew. The Rams, in the right bracket, could win a few games.
Otto Porter-does he come back for his junior year or does he leave for the NBA after this year?
Weak draft. I won't be surprised if he bolts.
What are your thoughts on Louisville's potential seeding and their chance at another Final Four run/title game?
Strong. The Cardinals are playing their best basketball at the right time. I like the balance and the way in which Louisville is now finally finishing games.
Last week, you told Kentucky fans not to worry. Is it time for Big Blue Nation to worry yet?
Nope. Kentucky has a huge week with games at Georgia and at home against Florida. These are both opportunities. Talk to me next week.
Do you think a 2-bid SEC is possible? I moved to TN from CA last year, and this is kinda reminding of me of last year's Pac-12...
Possible but unlikely.Ultimately I think you'll see Florida, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee make the field.
Shockers chances of making the NCAA's if they lose in the first round of Arch Madness?
Not good. Win at least a game.
andy what do my buffs have to do to feel safe come selection sunday need to sweep the oregon teams?
Winning this week would certainly help.
But I think CU will be in.
Who is the most important player on FLA?
Hard to pick one. Very balanced team. I still say Kenny Boynton can affect the game more than any other player on Florida.
I have been hearing that the committee throws out everything pre-Noel ACL injury. Why is that? I thought in the past when teams lost a player late in the season, they included the whole body of work. Don't you think that is automatically penalizing Kentucky since they played their stronger teams early in the season, due to the weak SEC teams this year?
Not everything. You can't do that. Those games happened. But you do need to evaluate Kentucky as it is going into the NCAA tournament sans Noel.
The Jekyl and Hyde act the Gophers are playing is getting old......do you buy their momentum from the last couple of games????
Check in next week and see how they do this week with games they should win.
Howland supporter here in LA. Odds he remains at UCLA?
He's not going to get fired. I don't see it. So it's up to him and he should only leave for a great situation.
How far do you see St. Louis going in the tournament?
Could get to Elite Eight.
Realistic chances of K-State getting to the 2 seed line if they win out and make the Big XII championship game in the tournament?
If that includes a win over Kansas then it could happen.
Ole miss still have a shot at making the ncaa tournament?
A shot? Yes. But the Rebels better win out this week against Alabama and LSU and do something in the SEC tournament.
Summit League Tournament starts Saturday! Whos your favorite to win it?
Jackrabbits with the Bison a close 1A. Love both.
How far do you see Syracuse going in the tournament?
Could definitely be a team like UConn from 2011, struggling late and trending in the wrong direction, only to go on a tear in the NCAAs. The talent is in place for Syracuse to do that in March.
Worried LaSalle Alum here- are they in or out right now? Further more what does a win against St.Louis and a win in the A-10's do for their seeding (as that should get them in)
Not in yet, but this is a huge week for La Salle. The Explorers still have a chance to win the league!
Tougher to win: Big ten tournament of NCAA tournament?
I'll say Big Ten this season, just like Big East was two years ago.
Do you see Boise St sneaking into the tourney?
Yes. Boise State should split the final two games with UNLV and San Diego State and be the fifth team out of the MWC in the field.
Thanks for the questions.Tuesday at 1 p.m. EST on ESPNU with Myron Medcalf, Bruce Pearl and Adrian Branch.Katz Korner at 4 and 4:30 p.m. EST Tuesday on ESPNU with Bill Self, John Thompson III and Ben Howland.
