Fantasy Sports with Eric Karabell

Eric Karabell
  (11:00 AM)

Hello all and welcome to the latest fantasy sports chat session. I am Eric, and we've got an hour, so get your questions in and let's have a little fun, forgetting about real world issues and dealing with Yovani Gallardo and Aaron Hill. Thanks for showing up, here we go!

CJ (Vienna)

What do I do with Jesus Montero? Wait it out, trade him, drop him? He's only playing like every other game and i believe lucroy is an available free agent

Eric Karabell
  (11:01 AM)

I would take Lucroy over Montero easily. Would have on draft day, and I wouldn't have punted Lucroy, even in shallow leagues when he didn't hit the first two weeks.

Dan (St. Louis)

Please give me a reason to hang on to Dan Haren...

Eric Karabell
  (11:02 AM)

I really cannot.

Steve (Cottage Grove Mn)

EK, do you put much stock in the Giancarlo trade rumors?

Eric Karabell
  (11:03 AM)

I do not. Marlins would be nuts, or more nuts, to deal him. And in fantasy, Stanton will be fine. I don't buy into the lineup protection stuff because last year he had no help and still hit 37 homers in 123 games! Trade for him!

Jon (Jacksonville)

Good morning, EK and thanks for your time. Just traded away Michael Young and Derek Holland for Nick Swisher and subsequently added Maholm with a winning waiver bid. I feel like I pretty much came out with 2 better players. Thoughts?

Eric Karabell
  (11:05 AM)

You did well. Maholm isn't going to finish with a 0.79 ERA, but he's legit.

Jordan (Providence)

The winter before the 2012 season the RedSox traded Josh Reddick for Andrew Bailey. Now that Bailey is healthy and temporarily in the closers role, does he keep it when Hanrahan comes back (if he is still pitching well)?

Eric Karabell
  (11:06 AM)

Yeah I think he might, actually. Not like Hanrahan is so great that the Sox wouldn't consider it, and Bailey has experience. Bailey is a must add now.

JoLiEt JaKE (Joliet, IL)

Good Morning Sir!! With Chris Johnson soon to be eligible at 1st base, do you consider him 12 team mixed worthy?

Eric Karabell
  (11:07 AM)

Not really. He and Juan Francisco are topic of today's blog entry, and while I pick one over the other (Freddie Freeman returns next week to push Johnson back to 3B) I wouldn't call either a great 12-team option.

Brian (NY)

Do you think Sogard takes over 2B for OAK?

Eric Karabell
  (11:07 AM)

I think he already has. Man, what a fall from grace for Jemile Weeks, eh?

Ben Revere (anywhere he wants to be)

Would you trust tony cingrani's first start against the lowly fish?

Eric Karabell
  (11:08 AM)

Yeah, I would. But then again, any team on any given day can light up a Dan Haren or a Brandon Maurer. I don't stream pitchers much in April.

Elverson, PA [via mobile]

Should I trade Justin Upton for Mike Trout?

Eric Karabell
  (11:08 AM)

I would, but I'm guessing most of my colleagues think that's just crazy talk.

Brian (NY)

Think Yonder Alonso can go .280/20 HRs?

Eric Karabell
  (11:08 AM)

Yes, I think he can. I don't think he will, though.

Mike (San Diego)

Ah, Jemile Weeks. I can see him and Dee Gordon turning double plays in overhyped prospect land right now...

Eric Karabell
  (11:09 AM)

Incredible the difference between hitting Triple-A pitching and in the majors, and how some prospects just cannot make adjustments.

Jawan Dunmoe (Lake City,Fl)

should i drop chris johnson for nick swisher

Eric Karabell
  (11:09 AM)

Yes, definitely.

Jim (Vermont)

Do you trust Dexter Fowler? Would you keep him on your squad or trade him when now when his stock is up?

Eric Karabell
  (11:10 AM)

Would float his name to see if someone overpays. I think he hits 20 homers and steals 15, but with his ability he should be doing more. He doesn't seem too interested in stealing a lot of bases. And the Rockies always seem interested in using other outfielders, too.

Joe C (Port washington ny)

Who are the odd men out in the Arizona outfield once everyone is healthy? Thanks

Eric Karabell
  (11:11 AM)

It will eventually be Kubel, Eaton and Ross, so Parra is the name to trade in the next four weeks before he loses playing time. And Pollock could hit like Tony Gwynn the next few weeks and it probably wouldn't matter, but I do want to see what he does.

Bill (ATL)

Dump Capuano? Seems headed to DL after poor start. Replace with: Lilly, Porcello, J.Parker?

Eric Karabell
  (11:11 AM)

Yeah, Capuano had a bad first inning, then got hurt. Didn't go the way I had planned! I'd stick with Parker longer. I mean, it's 2 bad outings, and to most people everything he did in 2012 over 30 starts gets forgotten. It's kinda ridiculous.

Mike (Minneapolis)

Do you think Valverde eventually takes back the closer's role in Detroit? Is it worth dropping Benoit for Bailey?

Eric Karabell
  (11:12 AM)

I do think Valverde will lead the Tigers in saves this season. And I would prefer to own Bailey over Benoit right now and beyond, yes.

Ian (DC)

Thanks for taking the time, Eric. Love the Karablog!Do you start Morse today, or wait to see if the injury affects his swing at all?

Eric Karabell
  (11:12 AM)

I start Morse every day. I don't really stream hitters at all.

Mark (Philly)

Would you give up Cole Hamels for Giancarlo Stanton? I would not have much starting pitching if i make this move.

Eric Karabell
  (11:13 AM)

I would make that deal. You will find it easier to get pitching than to find a 35-homer guy.

Ralphie the Buffalo (Colorado)

I've been riding John Buck, but someone just dropped Jonathan Lucroy. Would you drop Buck for Lucroy?

Eric Karabell
  (11:13 AM)

I would. But at least try to trade Buck first. Good luck with that.

Adam (Birmingham Alabama )

So what should I do with Chris Davis??? Should I try to get something out of him let's say a Jason Heyward Craig kimberl or Matt Harvey. Or should I hold onto him.

Eric Karabell
  (11:14 AM)

I would trade Davis for all of those players. He had a great 10 days, and slowed down quickly, and we tried to tell people to move him...but alas, I doubt they listened.

Rob (DC)

Any thoughts on Matt Adams? Is he ownable at all just for the opportunity he starts to play regularly?

Eric Karabell
  (11:15 AM)

In a standard 10-team mixed, no. But the minute Beltran or Craig gets hurt, and there's no reason to think that's pending, you act. Adams can rake.

Larry (New Hampshire)

Speaking of 35 HR talents... Do you think Duda has a shot this year? He's on pace for 40 and was solid in the minors. Does the Duda abide?

Eric Karabell
  (11:16 AM)

I think that's a bit optimistic, but he was on my sleeper list for 2012, and it wouldn't surprise me if he flirts with 30 HR. He's taking many walks this year...sounds like a pending blog entry!

Will (Chesepeake, NJ)

Is Mike Trout going to steal 30 bases this season??? He never runs!

Eric Karabell
  (11:16 AM)

It's April 17. Last year he stole 49 from April 28 on. I think you can be a bit more patient.

heine manush (detroit)

Do you like Marte this year or does he slow down? Liking the stats, so far!

Eric Karabell
  (11:17 AM)

Looks great, I have to admit. I still think he hits closer to .270 at best, but the skills are there for exciting counting numbers.

Roger (Baton Rouge)

Do you think Ike Davis is a great buy low candidate? Is he about to turn it around? (0.136/1HR/2RBI/6R)

Eric Karabell
  (11:17 AM)

My colleagues seem to be fans, and there's even a Fantasy Focus Baseball board bet between me and Tristan Cockcroft on Davis' batting average. I have the under on .250. I think I'll win that easily. But who knows. I think the power is legit, but great buy low... I don't think so.

Jake (California)

Is it time to sell high on Shelby miller? He was spectacular last time and I'm concerned he can't keep his pitch count from getting his arm tired.

Eric Karabell
  (11:18 AM)

I wouldn't worry about Shelby's fatigue until September. I'm serious. He's going to be fine.

Christian (Toronto)

Thoughts on Owning Mahoney; do you prefer the film or the first baseman?

Eric Karabell
  (11:18 AM)

For now, never really seen either! I think the Marlins should let Mahoney play first base for a few weeks and see what happens. He can hit. He's no Greg Dobbs!

Mike (Aurora )

Would you rade torri hunter for mark trumbo in a 10 tm pts league?

Eric Karabell
  (11:19 AM)

I'd rather have Hunter. This start is legit. He's going to hit .320 this year and score 100 runs.

micah (go braves)

How soon do we see Valverde in the majors? Worth a stash now in 12 team leagues?

Eric Karabell
  (11:19 AM)

I think before May he's up and closing. There's a board bet there as well, in which I initially look foolish, that Valverde saves more than 25 games. Might be optimistic.

Eric (STL) [via mobile]

Would you move Matt Harvey for Kemp, all things being equal?

Eric Karabell
  (11:19 AM)

Of course. And I love Harvey.

Pepe (Boston)

What are your thoughts on Chris Carter? 30 HR possible?

Eric Karabell
  (11:20 AM)

Definitely. Might hit .230 while doing so, but ultimately I see around 25 homers.

Bobby (Madison, WI)

I'm tired of Matt Kemp. Trade him for Choo?

Eric Karabell
  (11:20 AM)

Sounds like a good reason to me. I wouldn't, but it's your team!

TJ (Chicago)

V-Mart off to a slow start this year...I have no doubt he'll finish they year with a .295 avg or better and AT LEAST 80 RBI...what do you think about the power? Seems like it's been waning the past few years. Is he a good bet for 15? 20?

Eric Karabell
  (11:21 AM)

I doubt he hits more than 15 home runs, but the batting average and RBI will be there. And he's a catcher eligible, so even that is worth owning.

Kevin (Boston)

Thoughts on Herrera's performance last night pitching batting practice (3 HRs) to Atlanta???

Eric Karabell
  (11:22 AM)

Really disappointing. Since managers overrate everything, it probably takes him out of save consideration for a few weeks, even though it was likely just one bad outing.

Josh (Illinois)

Brandon Maurer had a good start last time out. Is he worth hanging on to in a deep mixed 10 team dynasty league? Most Owned pitcher on waivers right now is Brandon McCarthy (28%)

Eric Karabell
  (11:22 AM)

Yes, I'd keep him owned, but I wouldn't start him this week.

Ryan (DC)

Name Game: Iwakuma or Jose Fernandez

Eric Karabell
  (11:22 AM)

Jose.

James (NYC)

Is Rosenthal worth holding for potential saves?

Eric Karabell
  (11:23 AM)

I think so, but I also don't think the Cardinals are looking likely to use him in that role. Certainly looks like Mujica is next in line for saves.

Sean (Philly)

Would you drop A Cabrera for Segura?

Eric Karabell
  (11:23 AM)

Asdrubal? No. But I would try to get Segura. Legit.

Brad (MA)

Big Papi: O/U 30 HR ; 100 RBI ?

Eric Karabell
  (11:23 AM)

Under on both because he's an injury risk, but he's going to hit. Should be owned in all leagues.

Jon (Texas)

Does Bonifacio keep getting playing time? They started him at 2B, then a game at SS and now he's only playing OF. Does he keep playing?

Eric Karabell
  (11:24 AM)

Until Jays call up Anthony Gose and use him regularly, then he'll play. Would be nice if he'd hit and run.

Nick ( Maryland)

Would you move Chris Davis for Josh Hamilton?

Eric Karabell
  (11:24 AM)

Oh my. That seems kinda obvious, no?

Dan (Boston)

Got offered Jason Heyward for Aoki and Maholm; thoughts?

Eric Karabell
  (11:24 AM)

Make the deal. Fast.

Evan (Concord)

Should we be encouraged by the Eric Young II sighting yesterday? I know he started cause of injury...but maybe he'll get more looks now? I thought they were going to use him in a super utility role?

Eric Karabell
  (11:25 AM)

Fowler is nursing a hurt foot, so Young is playing. And he's a 30 steal option.

Danny (Erie, PA) [via mobile]

At what point do you start to worry about guys you're not worried about?

Eric Karabell
  (11:26 AM)

Each player is different, honestly. I'm worried about Halladay and Haren and if I'm worried about 20 players, then 15 are pitchers. I give hitters more time to work things out.

Mike (Milwaukee)

Hyun-Jin Ryu is a top ___ SP when all is said and done.

Eric Karabell
  (11:27 AM)

Not a great option, I'll say in the 50-60 range.

Lark Voorhees (LA)

Pujols?

Eric Karabell
  (11:27 AM)

Yeah, somewhat concerned about the injured foot. I have to admit that. Wouldn't make him a first-rounder if drafting today.

Tom (DC)

O/U 25 SBs for Bryce Harper this year?

Eric Karabell
  (11:27 AM)

Over. Bet he makes a legit run at 30/30. And said that all winter.

NHarms (STL)

Best prospect in 2014 (next year) - Profar, Taveras, or Myers?

Eric Karabell
  (11:28 AM)

Profar. Middle infielder with 20/20 potential beats an outfielder. Taveras over Myers. Myers is basically a power guy.

Karl Welzein (Grand Blanc, MI)

Segura or Andrelton Simmons?

Eric Karabell
  (11:29 AM)

For offensive purposes, it's Segura. He runs. Has a bit of pop. Simmons might hit 10 homers, but prob doesn't steal 10.

Mike (Milwaukee)

Obviously Beachy is worth a DL stash if you have room, but what are your thoughts on him this year if he can pitch 1/2 of this season?

Eric Karabell
  (11:29 AM)

Velocity returns before command, and that's something to watch with him. But 15 starts at best, strikeout per inning is possible.

Josh Johnson (Limbo)

Am I the pitcher i showed last night, or the previous outing?

Eric Karabell
  (11:30 AM)

There's obvious upside to what he did last night. But he'll of course have his rough outings as well.

Geoff ((Newport Beach, CA))

I sense that you really seem to underrate Chris Davis, he always mashed in AAA (>.300 avg), never really got a fair shake in Texas, then in his first "full" season in BAL he hit .270 with 33 HRs. Obviously he's a streaky hitter, and even in this recent slowdown as you put it, he's still taking walks, and currently owns a 9/13 K/BB split through 13 games. With Hamilton's injury concerns, not to mention his downward trend in pitch selectivity, how can you advise Nick from MD that the trade would be a slam dunk?!

Eric Karabell
  (11:31 AM)

That's what I think. A few weeks ago in drafts Hamilton was No. 30 and Davis No. 175. I can't change my entire philosophy in two weeks just because one guy is off to a great start. You're right, Davis has always been underrated and he has mashed before, but I can't take him over Hamilton, even knowing the risks. If Hamilton was hitting right now, this would not be an issue at all.

Brandon (At work)

I know you preach patience, but how long do you give a struggling hitter before you panic? It's my first year so I don't kno what to think, but guys like Kemp and Votto are killing me.

Eric Karabell
  (11:32 AM)

Votto is hitting .295. That's not killing you. And I wrote all February/March about his lack of power. But you have to be patient. You can't possibly get first-round talent back for them anyway.

Mike (Indy)

Listened to your Harvey blog yesterday. Am I crazy to trade Price for Harvey?

Eric Karabell
  (11:32 AM)

Well, yeah, that's a but out there.

Nick (Maryland)

Thank you for the question Geoff from Newport Beach, cause I've already sent out the trade offer of Chris Davis for Josh Hamilton!!

Eric Karabell
  (11:33 AM)

LOL!

Chad (Macon)

12 team standard roto... Ichiro or Rasmus?

Eric Karabell
  (11:33 AM)

Ichiro. I rarely own hitters that are likely to bat .220 over an entire season. Even if they hit 25 homers, which Rasmus is no lock to do.

Mike (Milwaukee)

Josh Rutledge. 20/20?

Eric Karabell
  (11:34 AM)

Certainly possible. Might not draw 20 walks all year, though.

Albert (New York)

How many SB For pierre this year?

Eric Karabell
  (11:34 AM)

How about 36? Think about it, it's not crazy at all.

Jim (Boston)

who wins this trade: Matt Harvey and Ike Davis for B. Harper?

Eric Karabell
  (11:34 AM)

Harper. Easily.

Jake (New York)

When do we see Billy Hamilton?

Eric Karabell
  (11:34 AM)

September. He's not ready.

The elusive dougward (MD)

Does Jared Parker "right the ship" or should I send him packing with the rats?

Eric Karabell
  (11:35 AM)

He rights the ship. It's two bad, and apparently, unlucky outings. But the upside isn't great for Ks, so I can understand punting. I wouldn't yet.

David (IL)

Hi Eric, do you know by chance why there was no 60 ft 6 in article yesterday?

Eric Karabell
  (11:35 AM)

Should be today. And should be great as always.

Pish (Western Mass)

Will Profar get SS eligibility when he is brought up? Just lost Jose Reyes should I stash Profar in hopes he comes up soon?

Eric Karabell
  (11:36 AM)

Doubtful. Texas has a pretty good shortstop. Profar is going to play 2B when the team needs him.

Rob (DC)

It's early, but Ben Revere's K rate is way up so far this season. Are you seeing anything in his approach that's changed (at least to the degree that we should be concerned)?

Eric Karabell
  (11:37 AM)

I have noticed Revere whiffing more than career rates, but it's early. He should hit around .275 and steal 40, which is all anyone asked of him anyway. But I do think he will move down to seventh or eighth in the lineup when Carlos Ruiz returns to the No. 5 spot, and Michael Young moves to second. It's going to happen.

Steve (SS) [via mobile]

How much of a bump does Matt Carpenter get with 2B eligibility?

Eric Karabell
  (11:37 AM)

Should be owned anyway, but that's the spot you play him, not at a corner. Guy will hit .290 this year with 15 homers, 80 runs.

Ryan (Minnesota)

Thoughts on Jacoby Ellsbury so far?

Eric Karabell
  (11:38 AM)

Just happy he's healthy. Don't wanna jinx it. Hoping for 140 games, 10-50-35 steals.

Chad (Macon)

Austin Jackson sell high or legit top 10 OF?

Eric Karabell
  (11:38 AM)

He's legit. Perhaps outside top 10, but good enough.

Alice (Wonderland)

Nolan Arenado is killing it in Triple-A if youi had to guess eta/effectivenes/position?

Eric Karabell
  (11:38 AM)

By early May he's at 3B for Rockies.

Ray (Baltimore)

Are you keeping an eye on Jose Quintana? Lights out last time out and his K rate has been improved this Spring and in his first 2 starts. Also has a slight increase in velocity. Is he a nice sleeper?

Eric Karabell
  (11:39 AM)

Yes, added him in my 19-team league for exactly that reason. Nice upside here and could keep rotation spot.

Chad (Macon)

Arcia have any value in 12 team mixed league?

Eric Karabell
  (11:39 AM)

No, not yet, but has power and let's see if Twins use him. No guarantees on him since Willingham and Parmelee have outfield corners.

Larry (New York)

Ruiz was a top 10 catcher last year. Will he do it again this year?

Eric Karabell
  (11:40 AM)

I have him on the outside of top-10, but he should hit enough to be under consideration.

Stephen (Long Island)

How excited are you for Harvey vs. Strasburg Friday?

Eric Karabell
  (11:41 AM)

That is a terrific matchup. I compared Harvey to Strasburg on TV yesterday, saying it's unlikely Harvey is permitted to make all his September starts. Top-20 starter upside for him regardless.

Stephen (Kansas)

Thoughts on Chase Utley so far?

Eric Karabell
  (11:42 AM)

Looks as good as new, no concerns. And even when he was averaging only 100 games per season from 2010-12, he was averaging 13 homers and 13 steals per year. Pretty safe guy now, trade for him.

Frank (NYC)

Gyorko worth owning in 12-team mixed? Thanks!

Eric Karabell
  (11:43 AM)

Yeah, I think he is worthy, at 2B. Could hit .280 with 15 homers.

Sam (St. Louis)

Eric, Have to drop either Nelson or Chris Johnson. Do you feel strongly one way or ther other?

Eric Karabell
  (11:43 AM)

I'd prob cut both! But Johnson should get to 12-15 homers and hit .270, and Nelson does not have that power or any speed.

Shaun (Peoria, Illinois) [via mobile]

Should I drop Salvador Perez for either Arencibia/Lucroy?

Eric Karabell
  (11:44 AM)

I would be more patient, though I view Sal and Lucroy evenly.

Tim (Wisconsin)

Any Idea what J.Weaver trade value is? I don't need him and need SV's, what should I target in a trade?

Eric Karabell
  (11:45 AM)

Target a closer. But it's foolish to get "only" a closer for Weaver. Make a 2-for-1.

vk (md)

Would you start Lohse today against the Brew Crew?

Eric Karabell
  (11:46 AM)

Pretty sure he's on the Brew Crew. And I start Lohse each time out, regardless of opponent. I don't sit top 50 starters unless there's reason to (struggles, weather, etc.).

CF (NY)

Jason Kipnis = Gordon Becham 2.0?

Eric Karabell
  (11:46 AM)

No! He's just hurting.

Chad (OKC)

Who has more upside long-term, Alex Cobb or Tai Walker?

Eric Karabell
  (11:46 AM)

Hard to say since Walker hasn't pitched in bigs. For that reason I like Cobb.

Bryan (Thousand Oaks, CA)

ETA on Gose. Seems like Toronto could use him.

Eric Karabell
  (11:47 AM)

The longer Bonifacio/Davis struggle, but let's be clear, Gose probably can't hit big league pitching enough. He can run and defend. So can Jackie Bradley.

John (NJ)

King Felix's last couple of starts have not been good (for him) any worry about starting him against Detroit tonight?

Eric Karabell
  (11:48 AM)

Oh my. I know many of you are panicking on a variety of players, but if I own Felix I never look to see who he faces. I just don't.

Bryan (Thousand Oaks, CA)

Is Ricky Romero worth picking up and stashing?

Eric Karabell
  (11:48 AM)

A month ago I said yes, but he's showed nothing in the low minors so far to suggest a turnaround is pending Which is a shame.

Nick (Chapel Hill)

Thanks for the help EK. Would you rather have B.Morrow or J.Garcia for the rest of the year?

Eric Karabell
  (11:49 AM)

Morrow for the whiffs.

Nolan (AL) [via mobile]

What should I do with Moustakas?

Eric Karabell
  (11:49 AM)

I don't know, maybe wait more than 11 measly games for the real hitter to emerge?

Alex (NJ)

Is Axford done as closer?

Eric Karabell
  (11:50 AM)

Nope, though I admit it's tough to own him in a 10-team mixed right now. But Henderson is no lock to keep job, not even close.

Matt [via mobile]

You said you rarely own hitters that hit below .220...does that include Dunn?

Eric Karabell
  (11:51 AM)

It sure does, but as always depends on the league too. In OPS or OBP league Dunn is top 50 guy. Votto might be No. 2 or 3!

James (detroit mi)

Are you targeting Dickey now or happy to have passed on him draft day?

Eric Karabell
  (11:51 AM)

Can it be both? I'd buy low, but I was not getting him on draft day, either.

Paul (Fairfax, VA) [via mobile]

Ryan Zimmerman had another error throwing to first base last night. His arm definitely doesn't look right. Could we see Rendon sooner rather than later?

Eric Karabell
  (11:52 AM)

In theory sure, but the Nats aren't going to sit Zimm and they can't move him to 1B with LaRoche there. And they don't want to DL him. So I doubt Rendon plays the next few months in D.C. But that arm IS a problem.

Tom (State College)

Talk of Marmol getting closer job back. Worth a pick up or stay away?

Eric Karabell
  (11:53 AM)

Pretty much what I've been saying all along. Sveum changes his mind all the time without provocation, it's kinda ridiculous.

Mike (Tx)

Ruggiano...number 4 outfielder or bench?

Eric Karabell
  (11:53 AM)

He's a top 50 outfielder for me. Been saying it all along. Doesn't mean he hits anywhere near .300 (he won't), but 15 homers, 20 steals are coming.

Matt (Philly)

EK, follow up on Zimmerman, what is the end game there fantasy-wise if he keeps up with these errors?

Eric Karabell
  (11:54 AM)

Either surgery or pushed to 1B. Not a great situation.

Eric (Boston)

Are you giving up on Teheran? Teheran or Quintana?

Eric Karabell
  (11:54 AM)

It's still Teheran, but might not be in a week.

Robby (Bronx, NY)

Name Game: Matt Carpenter or Jason Kipnis?

Eric Karabell
  (11:54 AM)

Still Kipnis. Can't jump off a bandwagon of top-5 2B this quickly. It's April 17!!!

Dave (Denver)

Torii Hunter or David Ortiz?

Eric Karabell
  (11:55 AM)

Each is top 100 player, but I'd actually go Hunter. I'm a believer.

Daniel (Tuscaloosa, AL)

I was offered Chris Perez and Adam LaRoche for Howie Kendrick. Do I take that? My only closer now is Cishek. Thanks Eric.

Eric Karabell
  (11:55 AM)

Great deal, even though Perez is not very good. Should get 30 saves.

George (Newark)

What I can expect from Uggla going forward?

Eric Karabell
  (11:56 AM)

20 homers, .240 average at best.

Rob (Philly)

Jose Fernandez one dominant start away from having his fantasy value sky rocket?

Eric Karabell
  (11:56 AM)

Aren't we already there?

Sam (OKC)

Would you like better Ruggiano, Duda, Joyce, G. Jones??

Eric Karabell
  (11:57 AM)

Ruggiano, Duda, Jones and then Joyce.

Wandy (The Line)

I know he "has the job," but does Veras get 10 saves this year?

Eric Karabell
  (11:57 AM)

Might take 4 months, but sure.

Phil (NYC)

Lorenzo Cain - is he still a viable fantasy OF? top 50?

Eric Karabell
  (11:57 AM)

Yes

Carl (NC)

Is C.J. Wilson a top 25 starter?

Eric Karabell
  (11:57 AM)

No

MIke (Sacto)

Victor Martinez or JP Arencibia?

Eric Karabell
