Ladies and gentleman, What's going on? Thanks for stopping by. Big game for your Knicks on Saturday. Let's get right to it ...

Deven (New York, NY)

Hi Ian. What do the Knicks need to do tomorrow to steal home-court advantage back from Indiana?

Ian Begley
  (1:34 PM)

Hey, what's up Devin, I think they need to follow the blueprint they established in Game 2: rebound the ball well by boxing out and keeping the Indy guards off the glass, limit Indy's second-chance points and move the ball on offense ... Anything less than that and it will be difficult to win in Indy

Deejay NYC [via mobile]

Cp3 to the big apple next year is there a chance?

Ian Begley
  (1:35 PM)

Hey Deejay, Anything's possible but the Knicks would need to clear cap space with a trade and Chris Paul would have to agree to a sizeable pay cut to come to NY

Spencer Zied (New York)

Will Amar'e Stoudemire's role diminish or increase throughout the playoffs and how so?

Ian Begley
  (1:37 PM)

Hey Spencer, His role will be minimal to start out. He will probably play around 10 minutes on Saturday. Best-case scenario for the Knicks is Stoudemire playing enough to get comfortable against Indy and then being ready for an increase in minutes in the Conference Final

Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)

Do you think that the Knicks will go to the NBA Finals?

Javier (NY)

Should Pablo be on the floor at the end of games? It seems good things happen when he's on the floor (ball movement, hustle defense)...

Ian Begley
  (1:43 PM)

Hey Javier, That's a fair question to ask. I know Mike likes Felton to be on the floor with scorers at the end of games but it may behoove him to have pablo out there because he is tremendous table setter and he makes sure the ffloor is spaced and the ball is moving

Jake (NY)

Hey Ian, just out of curiosity if Amare comes in and is terrible will they still let him play the full 15 minutes, and alternately if he comes in and is great will he be able to play more then 15 minutes?

Ian Begley
  (1:48 PM)

Hey Jake, Mike will play it by ear, I think. I don't think he feels obligated to play him 15 minutes so if he struggles he will pull him. He's not going to play Amar'e if it affects the Knicks' chances of winning the game

Jonathan (Bored at work (NYC))

I understand the intangible factor of Jason Kidd, however i think its apparent that Shumpert needs more minutes. Do you think that Woodson tweaks his rotation to give Shump more time and Kidd less? Kidd hasn't scored since he was on Dallas and Iman brings so much more to the table

Ian Begley
  (1:49 PM)

Hey Jonathan, LOL re: kidd hasnt scored since he was in Dallas. That's funny. I think Shumpert play 30-32 minutes a night works right now. I havent asked the question, but 'd assume that the Knicks would be hesitant to play him any more than that because he is coming off of major surgery

Brown Mamba (Jerz)

When Amare first came back from injury earlier this season, he was rusty for the first week. Can Woodson afford to waste valuable playoff minutes playing STAT when it may take him 2-3 games to get back to being a positive addition to the team off the bench?

Ian Begley
  (1:55 PM)

What's up Brown Mamba, I think you bring up an important point. The short answer is no, he can't afford to waste those minutes. And I think he knows that, So Mike has to strike a balance between trying to get AMar'e ready to play bigger minutes and making sure he doesnt hurt the team's chance to win. Not an easy job.

Alex (Chicago, IL)

Will we see Amare and Melo ever share the court at the same time during this series? Or is going to be like wrestling, with a you go, now it my turn tag in approach? I think keeping Melo/Chandler and Amare/Kmart together would be very positive.

Ian Begley
  (2:00 PM)

Initially, Amar'e will enter the game when Melo is on the bench in the second quarter, but Im sure there will be times when both are on the floor together. Im interested to see if Carmelo can find Amar'e on the baseline as a cutter; he seemed to do that with success when Amar'e was last on the floor
