Hey ohm. How are those 2 gigantic o-line guys, jasper and mcCoy doin? And give either a shot of making team? Thanks.

Ohm
  (1:01 PM)

Jim, they were monstrous. I was just intrigued by their size man. Be nice to see them make it to camp but who knows. But I'd like to see Shaun Rogers go up against one of them for just the sound it will make when they collide!

Chris (NYC)

After not addressing it in the draft, what, if anything, do you see the Giants doing at LB?

Ohm
  (1:02 PM)

They signed Aaron Curry last weekend. So there's a move. I honestly don't think there will be many more moves if any at LB.

kevin (nyc)

Ohm: It amazes me how so many giants fans and media are so worried about Washington this year. Last year the Giants beat them once and lost a one point game where RG3 fumble and it was run in for a touchdown. The truth is the Giants were two missed field goals from going 11-5 and 5-1 in the division. Anyway, my question is have you heard anything on Rueben Randle's progress in his second year.

Ohm
  (1:03 PM)

Well, you got to give the Redskins credit. They won the division. The Giants didn't. And the Redskins won out and got hot and who knows what would have happened if RG3 doesn't get hurt. As for Randle, tough to say right now. Let's see him in minicamp first.

Alex (Anaheim)

Are any particular free agents good fits for the Giants right now?

Ohm
  (1:04 PM)

First off, all depends on price. But I really think the Giants roster is almost at what it is going to look like going into camp. Perhaps they add a Woodson if he is willing to come on the cheap or a Hightower if healthy. But I don't expect much more activity on the free agent market for the Giants unless they can get a gem for cheap.

Bill (Long Beach)

Good afternoon Ohm! What's the latest on VC? Woodson in blue? What say you?

Ohm
  (1:05 PM)

Nothing new on Cruz as of now. Haven't heard anything. As for Woodson, Giants exploring it. I would love to see Woodson in the locker room. He would be a leader that they can use after losing Bradshaw, Canty, Blackburn, Osi and Boley this offseason. KP too.

Chris (NY)

I dont get why the Giants seem to value nicks more than Cruz, Cruz has been much more reliable health wise which has made him the more productive player. Id rather pay someon whose on the field than off the field

Ohm
  (1:07 PM)

Cruz is an undrafted guy. They spent a first-round pick on Nicks. They also view the type of receiver Nicks is as more valuable, a guy who is a threat on the outside. Cruz does most of his work out of the slot and the Giants tend to view that as that they can plug guys in there and Eli work well with somebody just like they had with Steve Smith and then Cruz. But the Giants still value Cruz and his playmaking ability. But if you had to only pay one receiver the most money, it would probably be Nicks. That doesn't mean they don't want to pay Cruz and keep him either. Just not as much as Nicks if you compare how much they are willing to spend.

Victor Cruz (Salsatown, USA)

Do you expect to see me next week Ohm?

Ohm
  (1:07 PM)

Not sure yet. No rush really. But it would be great to get this over with.

Weber, Robert (Roswell GA)

Any chance of Bradshaw or Jacobs coming back on the cheap?

Ohm
  (1:07 PM)

Always a chance but I think it would happen much later if that is the case. Like after they see how their running backs are.

kevin (nyc)

Hey Ohm sometime ago I told you I noticed some similarities between Hakeem Nick's game and Jerry Rice's. I have another one for you, notice the similarities between Montana's career and Eli's? Example Superbowl game winning drives, fantastic catch that defined his career, sacked 8 times in big comeback against eagles. Multiple MVP's in the big game. There are others but I want to hear your thoughts.

Ohm
  (1:09 PM)

Look, I see some similarities you point out. But let's not get carried away. Eli has a lot of catching up to do before he gets to that level. And as for Nicks, let's really not get carried away comparing him to Rice, the greatest receiver of all time and one of the greatest football players period. Nicks is very talented and good. He just needs to stay healthy and he should have a great career. But Rice is on a different level.

Bill (Long Beach)

Ohm I absolutley love the note Tuck left in Moore's locker! Agree?

Ohm
  (1:11 PM)

Why wouldn't you? Tuck trying to lead is always a good thing. Can't hurt. Tuck's quote about a team being only as strong as its weakest link is true. He wants everybody on the team ready to work.

Martin (NY)

Do you expect someone else besides David Wilson to handle KR duties?

Ohm
  (1:12 PM)

Perhaps Jernigan. Who knows, maybe Murphy. Not sure. I think there's a free agent tryout the Giants signed who has KR experience. But if they don't find anyone good there, then Wilson might do it. But I think they are better off protecting Wilson.

Weber, Robert (Roswell GA)

Hey OHM, outlook for Spartans basketball next year?

Ohm
  (1:13 PM)

They will open season top 3 if not No. 2 in the country. They will struggle early against a very tough schedule like Izzo's teams always do. In fact, they could be out of top 10 by time Big Ten season begins. But by the time March rolls around, they will be a 1-3 seed probably and make a Final Four run.

Joseph (NY)

Hey Ohm, If you had to predict the starting 3 linebackers right now week 1, who would they be?

Ohm
  (1:13 PM)

As of May 16, Jacquian, Connor and Rivers.

Ray (From Southside)

Wadup Ohm...Love ur work....since its May and things are slow are u gonna be playing the Powerball, riding out on the Preakness or both??

Ohm
  (1:14 PM)

Didn't somebody win Powerball last night or no? How much is it now?

Ian (LBI)

After seeing how this offseason has shaken out, what's your take on the div this year? I'm thinking Gmen 1st, Skins 2nd, Boys 3rd, Birds 4th.

Ohm
  (1:14 PM)

Way too early to predict the division. I have no idea what Philly is going to look like.

seany (nj)

If the giants signed woodson, do you think he has a chance to start?

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

Always a chance. Depends on his health but he could push Brown as the second safety.

Bill (Long Beach)

Ohm, Wilson: 1,100 rush/35 catches for 300yds, 8td'spossible?

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

Possible but I am not sure if he will get a ton of touches. Remember, Brown will factor into carries, especially in red zone.

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

And I don't think he gets that many catches.

Ian (LBI)

Chip Kelly=Steve Spurrier?

Ohm
  (1:17 PM)

No idea. Can't answer that in May.

Martin (NY)

Do you think Pugh will be a starter early-on? What are you hearing about him?

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

I think he might have a chance to compete for the RT job. But I think it will still come down to Diehl and Brewer.

Ray (From Southside)

No sir...it is up to 475 mi....that can def buy u some nice courtside MSU seats....Goooooooooooooooo Sparty!!!!!

Ohm
  (1:18 PM)

For that much I may buy the arena. I need to go get me some Powerball!

sean (nj)

What's the latest on Terrell Thomas and his knee Injury?

Ohm
  (1:19 PM)

Still rehabbing and making his way back. Got to be patient.

Dan (NYC)

Brandon Myers ... can he block? Will he be on the field enough to make an impact? If so, could be the steal of the FA crop no?

Ohm
  (1:20 PM)

Not sure yet Dan. Haven't seen him on the field. But that is the big question. He has to in order to stay on the field in my mind. But receiving-wise, I think he was a great addition as far as replacing Bennett.

Darrell (MD)

You mentioned that the Giants could use Woodson because they lost a lot of key, respected veterans this offseason. Given the current roster, who do you expect to be leaders in the locker room this season?

Ohm
  (1:22 PM)

Eli, Tuck, DeOssie, Rolle, JPP, Kiwanuka, Webster, Snee, Diehl to name a few.

Dan (NYC)

Why are the Giants bothering with Hightower who has a more storied injury history than Bradshaw and Jacobs combined? Wouldn't it make more sense to bring Ahmad or Brandon back at the minimum (assuming that they don't sign anywhere else) who already know the offensive scheme?

Ohm
  (1:24 PM)

Well, bringing Ahmad back depends on health and money. Also, is he willing to really share carries with Wilson and Brown. Remember, the idea here is to start Wilson or Brown and really have the two share the carries and find a third-down back who can protect Eli. Bradshaw deserves a bigger role than that. If you bring in Bradshaw, that could mean Wilson and Brown will see less carries. As for Jacobs, depends on his health and age and all that. Hightower can really catch the ball out of the backfield and might be a return option for them as well too. But they're just kicking the tires and doing due diligence.

Sean (Mastic, NY)

Whats the word on Herman, the OL we took in the draft? All i hear is good things bout him from JR and TC. Why wasnt he drafted sooner given all the praise?

Ohm
  (1:24 PM)

Big boy but really early. It was just rookie camp. They like his nasty demeanor. He did go to a small school and might not be as athletic as other prospects.

Dan (NYC)

Did Myers play 3 downs with the Raiders? Was he in on run/short yardage packages?

Ohm
  (1:24 PM)

Wish I could answer that but didn't watch the Raiders last year a ton. Too busy with Giants.

sean (nj)

Do you ever see the giants playing that bump and run style with their corners like the did when they had sparks and sehorn? I think the corners they have can play that style

Ohm
  (1:25 PM)

Webster can do that but he has to rebound from last season. Giants need their corners to play much much better to help the pass rush and vice versa

Dan (NYC)

I understand that the Curry deal is low-risk and potentially high reward, but this kid has been a bust since stepping foot on a NFL field. Why not bring in a proven vet that can help the young guys grow and fill in the gaps as they continue to learn? Not like big blue can afford to waste roster spots.

Ohm
  (1:26 PM)

You guys always forget with the Giants it is always about $$$$. And they like to take chances on guys who have potential on the cheap.

Ohm
  (1:26 PM)

Alright guys, thanks for the questions today!
