Hi Rosie, I grew up watching Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and other great fighters during the 60's, 70's and 80's and a lot of great memories. Who do you enjoy watching when you became a hugh fight fan?

Rosie Perez
  (2:08 PM)

I enjoyed watching the same fighters. I also loved watched Willie Benitez Jr, Wilfredo Gomez, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy "Hit Man" Hearns, Marvin Hagler...gosh, who else? I really liked George Foreman. Plus, I'm not that old! I used to like watching Pernell Whitaker. Tito Trinidad.

Hello ms. perez didnt no u were a boxing fan have u ever attended a major fight? if so witch one?

Rosie Perez
  (2:10 PM)

I don't know if they were PPV, but I was at the Bowe-Holyfield. The Jones fight at Radio City Music Hall. I was at the Trinidad fight, crying my eyes out watching his dad smack him every time he was in the corner. I was at the Golovkin fight, of late, was one of the most exciting fights I've seen, because I couldn't believe his power. He destroyed them. He hit the guys and the blood splattered and we had to duck. I had a white coat on. Not the right thing to wear!

Rosie Perez

It's so much fun to be there.

Curtis (Virgina )

Rosie I had the biggest crush on you in White Men Can't Jump. Congrats on a successful career and I wish you all the best moving forward But my question is how did you feel about Tito Trinidad?

Rosie Perez
  (2:12 PM)

I thought he had a great career. The way he went out was heartbreaking, but he's never, ever, ever lost any fans, any credibility or respect. He walks into a room and everybody starts screaming. He gave everything each and every time.

Phil (FL)

What's the key to the Mayweather-Alvarez fight?

Rosie Perez
  (2:13 PM)

It depends on who you're going for. For Mayweather, figure out Canelo's fight plan quickly and break him with his technique and sweet science. Frustrate him. If you're going for Canelo, he has to exercise his power in the early rounds. He has to go in and start destroying Mayweather. Use his body shots a lot. Hit the body and the head will fall.

Rosie Perez
  (2:14 PM)

That's what I think. I think that Canelo pulled a huge crowd against Trout and he's pulled huge crowds in Mexico, but this is probably the biggest platform he'll ever be on so he needs to keep his nerves in tact. Win or lose, he's a rising star. He'll win no matter what.

Brandon (San Diego)

Hi Rosie, big fan! who is your favorite current boxer and who you taking? Money or Canelo?

Rosie Perez
  (2:16 PM)

Golovkin. He's a rising star. Watch his early fights on YouTube. His KO power is amazing and he's gotten better with age.

Jake (DC)

How often do you still get stopped by fans to ask about White Men Can't Jump?

Rosie Perez
  (2:17 PM)

Every day. White Men Can't Jump is the No. 1. Do The Right Thing. Fearless.

Rosie Perez
  (2:17 PM)

I appreciate it. A lot.

jeremy (dallas)

Rosie, have you ever trained at the boxing gym or been in any scraps? what is your best punch?

Rosie Perez
  (2:19 PM)

Unfortunately, I've been in a few horrible scraps when I was younger. I don't like to be in a fight that's not inside a gym. I did train boxing, it was quite difficult. Three minutes seemed like a long time when you were in the ring. It's not something I do well. I studied martial arts for many years. My best punch? My right hook and uppercut. If you're talking martial arts, inside crescent kick and knee kick.

I appreciate the exchange, especially since it's about boxing, it makes me smile. Thank you.
