Vote: How much do you know about the World Series?

Lou Gehrig features in a number of World Series minutiae.
As researchers at ESPN, our primary responsibility is to provide our wide variety of programs with the lists, facts, history, and other bits of significant minutiae that we feel are important and noteworthy to the sporting events taking place that day or week.

Often, late nights in the research room turn into trivia challenge sessions, in which we'll utilize all of our best resources to come up with the hardest, most interesting questions, in an effort to both stump and educate colleagues (Baseball Tonight analyst Tim Kurkjian is the most fun to try to stump). It's an in-house version of the TV show "Stump the Schwab" without the prizes and vintage team jerseys. It occurred to us that it would be fun to share some challenging World Series questions with the readers of ESPN.com.

Much of the credit for these questions goes to the valuable resources at Baseball-Reference.com, which makes searching for such information much easier. See how many of these questions you can get right. If you get more than half of them, you're a legitimate World Series expert.

Mark Simon is a researcher for Baseball Tonight.
