And you thought the field of Heisman Trophy contenders looked crowded? The race for NFL MVP is about as congested as the start of a marathon. How do you size up the field, SportsNation?

With the regular season winding to a close, it's still difficult to distinguish the pretenders from the contenders for the pro game's top individual honor. ESPN.com's crew of NFL bloggers tackled that task and came up with a list of 14 prime candidates.
