Matt Grothe and South Florida are climbing up the rankings.

Just call it Upset Weekend.

Seven of the top 13 teams lost this week, throwing the rankings into chaos. Both No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 4 Florida lost close games to unranked teams, leading them to freefall down the rankings. They were replaced by California and Ohio State, respectively, who both pulled off impressive wins against tough opponents. Wisconsin moved up to No. 5 with a win, while surprise pick South Florida upset No. 5 WVU, 21-13, to move up to No. 6.

Nearly lost in all the chaos was the fact that LSU overtook USC for the No. 1 spot, even though both teams won. The teams switched places by the barest of margins, with LSU receiving 33 first-place votes to USC's 32--a two-point margin overall.
