Rank 'Em: Summitt's Championship Teams

Created: February 5, 2009, 9:35 AM

What was Summitt's best team?

It's difficult to pick a handful of signature wins out of a pool of 1,000 total victories, but there are eight that definitely stand out when it comes to Pat Summitt and the Lady Vols of the University of Tennessee.

As Summitt celebrates becoming the first Div. I coach in men's or women's college basketball to claim win No. 1,000, how do you rank her eight championship squads, SportsNation?

It took Summitt a few years in Knoxville to claim her first title, but once Bridgette Gordon and friends got things rolling in the 1986-87 season, the flow of championship banners has remained as steady as the Tennessee River. But which team was the best?
