Did Chauncey Billups and the Pistons solve the Celtics?

The competition in the East is heating up, and all it took was a bit of a nudge.

Tony Allen fouled Chauncey Billups with .1 seconds left in the Detroit-Boston matchup, giving Billups a chance to break an 85-85 tie. Billups hit both free throws, giving the Pistons a win over a tough opponent and showing the NBA that they aren't afraid of the Big 3. If there are any lasting effects in Boston over the loss, they weren't apparent, as the Celtics went on to avenge an earlier loss to the Orlando Magic.

Kobe Bryant reached yet another milestone in his Hall of Fame-worthy career, becoming the youngest player (and 31st overall) to reach 20,000 career points. Bryant accomplished the feat with 39 point in a win against the Knicks, who continue to slide further down the standings.
