Who makes the cut for SportsNation's dream team?

It may seem like only yesterday that the original Dream Team rolled over -- and then signed autographs for -- overmatched opponents in Barcelona, but consider that Dwight Howard was all of eight years old when Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and company took the Olympics by storm. Four Olympiads later, the American basketball brand is looking for a comeback in Beijing after a string of international disappointments.

USA Basketball has picked its roster to go for gold beginning Aug. 10 against China, but what's your dream dozen, SportsNation?

Below you'll find a stash of superstars with American passports. Not all were healthy enough, or interested enough, to contend for a spot on the real Team USA, but we want to know what you think the ultimate American roster would look like. Do you have room for a defensive stopper like Bruce Bowen? Have time and a collection of young point guards passed Jason Kidd? Can Kobe Bryant play nice with others?
