Rank 'Em: NBA Franchises

Are Bird's Celtics, Magic's Lakers or Jordan's Bulls the greatest franchise ever?

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers seem to have the advantage in the NBA Finals, but is that really a surprise?

Not according to John Hollinger, it isn't. According to Hollinger's rankings, the Lakers are, as a whole, the greatest NBA franchise of all time. Hollinger ranked each team by its winning percentage, playoff performance, quality and quantity of superstars and intangible factors, with Los Angeles leading the pack.

Fans of other teams may disagree, and frankly, we expect them to. Celtics aficionados may point to the team's run of championships during the NBA's early years. Spurs fans can bring up their team's constant excellence in the 21st century. Bulls fans can attest to a certain run of dominance in the '90s that stands up to anything before or since.
