Where does Alex Smith rank?

How do the quarterbacks selected in the 2005 draft stack up five seasons into their professional careers?

Alex Smith reclaimed the starting job for the 49ers after last week's relief appearance against the Texans, but it appears the No. 1 overall pick in 2005 has some catching up to do. From first-round pick Aaron Rodgers to later-round finds Kyle Orton and Matt Cassel, the class of 2005 already has its share of established starters.

With five years of evidence to go on, how do you rank these eight quarterbacks now?
