John Wooden will be remembered as much for his life lessons as his basketball acumen.
The passing of John Wooden reminded us of the influence a coach can have not only on the field but in the hearts and minds of his or her players. Winning games is the ultimate goal but being a true leader is what's needed to get there.
It's hard to argue that Wooden did that best, having won 10 NCAA basketball championships while at UCLA, seven in a row.
