Williams sisters return to D.C. team
NEW YORK -- Sisters Venus and Serena Williams will return to the reigning champion Washington Kastles, while John McEnroe and Martina Hingis are staying with the New York Sportimes after the World TeamTennis marquee draft.
Other top players picked Tuesday for the Pro League include three-time major champion Lindsay Davenport, current top-ranked American Mardy Fish, marathon man John Isner, and two-time major finalist Mark Philippoussis.
The leading doubles team of American twins Bob and Mike Bryan, and veteran James Blake also were drafted Tuesday.
The WTT Pro League full draft is March 13, and the season runs July 9-29. The finals weekend is Sept. 14-16 in Charleston, S.C.
