The Devils moved to Prudential Center after playing at the Meadowlands (now Izod Center) from 1982 to 2007. The Prudential Center, also known as "The Rock," has helped revitalize downtown Newark. The city has added, and continues to add, restaurants, condominiums and several mixed retail establishments. Hockey sweaters from all New Jersey high schools are displayed throughout the main concourse. The arena also features tributes and mementos from Devils history, as well as tributes to the city of Newark, Seton Hall University and other area landmarks. Commemorative bricks can be purchased for Championship Plaza, which is located across from PNC Bank Tower on Mulberry Street, between Edison Place and Market Street. It has become the gathering place for Devils fans before and after each home game and includes bricks recognizing the team's 1987-88 Patrick Division Playoff Championship, four Eastern Conference Championships and nine Atlantic Division titles. The Prudential Center also is home to the NBA's Nets, Seton Hall University men's basketball team and the WNBA's New York Liberty, as well as the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association high school ice hockey championships. It is capable of hosting indoor soccer and lacrosse, circus events, family shows, conventions, corporate events, ice shows, concerts, boxing, mixed martial arts and wrestling. The adjacent AmeriHealth Pavilion is the Devils' practice facility and offers public skating as well as clinics and private lessons.
