UFL back with same four teams
OMAHA, Neb. -- The United Football League is returning with the same four teams as last year and they will play an eight-game regular season.
UFL spokesman Larry Weisman also announced Wednesday that Bart Andrus is the new coach of the Omaha Nighthawks. Andrus was the team's offensive coordinator in 2011.
Returning coaches are Marty Schottenheimer of the Virginia Destroyers and Jim Fassel of the Las Vegas Locomotives. The Sacramento Mountain Lions haven't named their coach.
Las Vegas opens Sept. 19 at home against Sacramento. Defending champion Virginia plays at Omaha on Sept. 21. A championship game will be Nov. 16 at a site to be determined.
The league is made up mostly of free agents hoping to get signed by an NFL team. CBS Sports Network will televise all games.
