Jags in control in win over Rams

Jacksonville scored 14 first-quarter points thanks to a David Garrard pass and touchdown scramble and the Jags never looked back, beating the winless Rams 24-14.

Garrard's efficient day included 224 yards passing and another 34 yards rushing as he helped Jacksonville climb to 3-3 on the season.

Steven Jackson of the Rams turned in a good fantasy game, rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.
