Second-half surge seals Chargers win
The Chiefs are playing a lot harder than people are giving them credit for, and for three-plus quarters, it looked like they could pull off the upset against the Chargers, but it just wasn't meant to be as Rivers threw two second-half touchdown passes to give San Diego the 27-14 win.
Darren Sproles and LaDainian Tomlinson combined to gain over 180 all-purpose yards for the Chargers, as San Diego tries to stay in the race for the AFC West with division front-runner Denver.
Matt Cassel played a decent game for the Chiefs, throwing for 212 yards, including one touchdown and one interception, but it just wasn't good enough for Kansas City, a team that now finds itself at 1-6 on the season.
