Mystics cut Miller, add Schumacher

WASHINGTON -- The Washington Mystics have released guard Coco Miller and signed free-agent center Kelly Schumacher.

Miller was a first-round draft pick in 2001 and has played her entire WNBA career with Washington, averaging 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds.

She was honored as the league's most improved player in 2002.

Schumacher has played for Indiana, New York, Phoenix and Detroit, earning WNBA championships in 2007 and 2008. She is averaging 5.0 points and 3.1 rebounds during an eight-year pro career after winning the 2000 NCAA championship at Connecticut.

The Mystics open this season June 6.
