Mystics sign center Michelle Snow
WASHINGTON -- The Washington Mystics have signed veteran free agent center Michelle Snow.
The 6-foot-5 Snow has career averages of 9.0 points and 6.4 rebounds in 334 games over 10 seasons with Houston, Atlanta, San Antonio and Chicago. She is also eighth on the league's career blocks list with 350.
Last year, the former Tennessee star averaged 5.9 points and 6.3 rebounds with the Sky.
Snow, selected 10th overall in the 2002 draft by the Comets, was the league's Most Improved Player in 2003 and appeared in the All-Star game in 2005 and 2006.
Snow joins the Mystics eight days after guard Noelle Quinn was acquired in a deal that sent forward Marissa Coleman to Los Angeles. Also, veteran guard Alana Beard, who missed the last two seasons with injuries, left the Mystics to sign with the Sparks on Wednesday.
