Liz Cambage has reversed course, saying she will play in the WNBA this summer. But her history has many on the edge of their seats, writes Mechelle Voepel. Story
The No. 2 pick in the 2011 draft, Cambage had said last month that she wouldn't play for Tulsa this season after also skipping last season to play for the Australian Olympic team.
The Shock announced Thursday that Cambage is expected to be in Tulsa the middle of next week prior to the start of the regular season.
The 6-foot-8 Cambage said in a statement that she broke her wrist while playing in China and didn't think she'd be able to play in the WNBA this season. Instead, she was cleared and decided to join the Shock.
Cambage averaged 11.5 points and 4.7 rebounds as a rookie in 2011 and was an injury replacement in the All-Star game. She joins a team that added No. 3 pick Skylar Diggins in this year's draft.
