Chelsey Lee of Rutgers out for season
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers will be without its top returning rebounder this season.
Coach C. Vivian Stringer announced Friday that forward Chelsey Lee will miss the upcoming season following shoulder surgery. But the 6-foot-2 senior from Miami, Fla., plans to play again for the Scarlet Knights in 2012-13.
Lee has been Rutgers' leading rebounder in each of the past two seasons, pulling down 7.5 per game last season. She is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game for her career.
