OXFORD, Miss. -- Adrian Wiggins is the new women's basketball coach at Mississippi.
The school announced the hiring on Monday night. He will be officially introduced at a press conference Wednesday.
Wiggins has guided Fresno State to five straight NCAA tournament appearances. The Bulldogs won a school record 28 games this season before losing to Georgetown in the opening round of the tournament.
He has a career record of 175-66 after taking over for the final 11 games of the 2004-05 season. Wiggins was an assistant at Fresno State from 2002-05.
Wiggins replaces Renee Ladner, who announced in early March that she was stepping down as head coach.
Mississippi was 12-18 this season.
