Extreme sports will get "big air" on U.S. postage stamps this
summer when stamps recognizing BMX Biking, Inline Skating, Skateboarding,
and Snowboarding are issued to help kick off the ESPN X Games in San
Francisco on June 25. "The Xtreme Sports stamps represent the Postal Service's commitment to broadening the stamp program to include subjects which appeal to America's youth." Based on actual photographs, the stamps feature individual athletes performing maneuvers unique to each sport. 152 million of the action-packed self-adhesive stamps will be printed. |
