By Rat Sult Special to ESPN.com Hey all you X Games watchers and surfers, remember me? That's right, it's Rat Sult up here in Crested Butte, Colo. And aside from the snow on the ground, the sun makes it feel a lot like the 1998 Summer X Games in San Diego, where I won gold in both the super mass and mass street luge.
There's no luge here at the 1999 Winter X Games. Instead, I'm going full tilt in Biker X. I also race the national mountain bike downhill circuit, so this is right up my alley. I'm just out here having fun in the snow. But to tell you the truth, the luge is more fun. The laid-back atmosphere of the people. It just seems people are lot more uptight here. People aren't talking as much, it's just an uptight feeling here on the slopes. And that's not me at all. I'm just trying to have a good time. It was weird, during practice I just felt a weird vibe. People don't talk, it's just an uptight feeling. AND I HATE THAT. It's all about having a good time and hanging out with your 'bros. I'm just trying to get people to be a little more friendly up there on the slopes. Instead of everybody thinking -- well I don't know what they think -- but you have to be a little more friendly. Just hang with you friends. I'm ready to rock and roll. I'm clearing all the doubles.
I'm also ready for some ice luge. I'm in line right now whenever they have it. Actually I want to try the ice luge. Not the normal luge, I'm talking ice street luge. It's a snow road, it's exactly like street luge but on snow. I definitely want to check it out.
