You have no idea how hard the routes are or if the short Icelandic winter days will offer enough daylight to finish the route -- even though this means spending hours getting your truck unstuck out of a snowed-over ditch far away from so-called civilization!

But nothing beats this wonderful suffering -- temperature in the single digits and wind speeds greater than 50 miles per hour. Maybe it doesn't prepare me well for the X Games, but it sure as hell is fun!

This is how I have tried to spend my weekends and holidays, which have been plenty over Xmas and New Years. But now with the X Games less than two weeks away, most of my training will be done in the weightroom as I have to attend this thing -- work -- all days.
