By Mike Nick Special to ESPN.com Things aren't looking so good. The November cold hit and everyone got psyched looking forward to the massive amounts of snow that "La Nina" was supposed to bring us, but so far the big bad storm system seems to be a fluke. I hit the snow twice in November then the 60-degree spring weather rolled in to town, causing nothing but heartache for myself and anyone else who was praying for snow. Weekend after weekend rolled by and before you knew it November had passed. It's now December and my total days on snow has risen significantly to a whopping ... three! Supposedly a cold front is moving in and maybe the mountains will be able to blow some snow, I pray. I guess it's just an endless summer! So for the time being I'll be hitting the skate park and doing snow dance rituals until I can hit the snow again. One cool thing did happen within this period of disaster though: I went to L.A. to shoot a commercial for the X Games, where I had an ice-cream eating contest against a polar bear and got to wear some nice clothes from the 70s. The commercial should be showing some rad footage from SB1, so check it out and join with me on the search for East Coast snow!
By the way, I cracked a six-pack of whoop ass on that polar bear.
